  1. I know I should be a car guy, but sorry, I'am going to stick to the Car Quiz on the other forum. Don't know the stuff that isn't made in North America. Really don't know too much about anything earlier than 1949............
  2. Thanks for the information. Got no notice yet, so I will keep going until I get one or don't see an issue for a few months.Nice to get a reply from the head man too. That is service, and public relations. Keep up the good work.........
  3. Is there a way in which I can tell off my postage label when my subscription ends? The numbers on my label are 085263. I'd like to know so I don't miss re-subscribing.............Thanks......
  4. A friend of mine here in Winnipeg does goalie maskes. He augments his wages very nicely. They aren't cheap either, with the designs etc. and each one has to be kind of one of a kind. You did a great job on the one you did. Hope you augment your wages/salary with those benefits too.
  5. Started building during the Christmas holidays of 1958. A friend got a 58 Pontiac AMT convertible for Christmas and I asked where his parents got it from. A hardware store in north Winnipeg. During the holidays him and I went there and I bought a 58 Edsel Convertible and some paint. Pactra small bottles. Got two red and a brush. Painted everything red, chrome/interior. That was the beginning. I was 10 at the time. Kept building until about 1974 then back in around 1991. Suffered a stroke in 1998 and really haven't done much since. Painted and polished a few for club members but now wanting to get back again. Climbing stairs is troublesome with my bad knee but the urge is there again. Got the paint/ glue and tools, just now I need the urge back and skill. I always built box-stock. No patience with wiring etc. Very small fuse(if you get what I mean). I'am now 63.....Thats my two cents worth..............
  6. 1969 Plymouth Road Runner, platinum silver with same interior 383/auto/2dr post/dog dish caps/reline tires. I owned a 70 RR coupe with 383/auto bench/B5 blue 43000 mile unrestored original survivor.........
  7. Project "Snowball" is at Chuck Darnell's for finishing, then as far as I know will be going to the museum in Utah. Correct me if I'am wrong. I'am pretty sure Chuck is finishing it up though......I always thought it was a great thing to do, but my own opinion for what its worth is, Snowball always looked like a customized hearse...........
  8. Only one comes to mind at this time: 1964 JoHan Plymouth Fury convertible/hardtop......Repop as a Fury(not sport Fury) separated interior pieces with separate underhood tin. Use the same body with excellent engraving it has. Steel wheels and same engine only without the holes for the axles. You could also maybe make a 65 Satellite out of the tooling too. Sure would be nice.
  9. 1964 JoHan Plymouth Fury convertible. Any rendition of a 64 Plymouth (correctly) would be nice too. The 64 JoHan rag was very nicely done except for the tub interior and bucket seats. Cheaper Fury would have been nice and an engine without any holes in it. Nice kit though. I have two unbuilt in flat boxes and one has the bench seat interior from one of the 63 kits which happens to be the same pattern as the Fury. Their promos had the Fury with bench seats in them.
  10. I can't remember if thats the new Challenger from Revell from the first post. (Getting old, memory not working good)..If it is, make sure you piece it together before final assembly, the chassis hangs down from the rocker panels just a little bit(shows chassis) and under the hood should be the same color as the car.(sorry I'am just used to pointing that out to people who build Mopars, its your model you do as you wish)..Going to look good when you are finished. Keep going.......
  11. I'am a forum member on both. I think this thread would have been locked at the first mention of MCM. I personally like both mags but somehow prefer MCM. Everybody mentions how they are received. Where I live they have to be subscribed to,and all mine have arrived in like new condition. Maybe the customs people or the postal people in Winnipeg aren't interested in model cars. Just my two cents.
  12. Very BADD. Excellent workmanship. I can dig that lots, even though thats not my style. Your build is VERY CLEAN. You should be proud of your endevour.........
  13. The Barrett Jackson I've never been, but would like to once, just to say I have. Any car would look good under those lights. The BJ is a travelling circus. I'd believe what The Professional Car Society says about that hearse/ambulance. Read earlier today that BJ says his boys say its authentic. I've seen Mopars, authenticized by you know who that aren't even correct. Don't know if you can look the cars over before the auction but there is some BAD stuff going through their. Did you know you could buy your own car back if it doesn't sell for $2,000. That way BJ sells all the cars. No reserves....Nice show to watch on TV with a few beers......
  14. The message I posted on the other board. The color I was thinking was Bright Fire Mist metallic. Your color is more of a light metallic brown, kind of like a Chrysler light metallic Gold in this years colors. Light Driftwood metallic I think.
  15. Thank you very much. I just did that an wow, it worked. Nice and simple instructions is what I needed. Thanks again........
  16. Whenever I post a reply to a thread there is always that last comment on the page. How do I post a reply without the comment being posted too. Please explain it very carefully because I'am not computer literate and don't know the lingo either.......Thanks.
  17. Lookin good Junior. Is Danny Schatz working that Cat? Hope they get more cars to race, cause no one want to pay to watch 10 cars in a feature. Your doing a great job. When I get down to Fargo this winter for a break I will give you a call and actually see the work in progress. FARMER
  18. The only good thing about ANY General Lee is you can sell them to a General Lee fanatic for good money. I sold a 1/25 ERTL diecast years ago to a guy who did a car in 1:1 even with the stupid horn for $125.00 Thank you very much.....
