  1. Actually, it looks like Harry's Pocher 540K (if he ever finishes it).
  2. Thanks Mike. I've seen online examples of NATO black that look good, but someone mentioned it had a green tinge to it. Is that so? I ask all these questions because I can't afford to experiment with multiple purchases.
  3. And other one to get you from your parking spot to the entrance in less than 30 minutes. But that's Walmart everywhere.
  4. This RC kit might work for some basic parts if you want it to run, but it doesn't look much like a real one. http://www.stevensaero.com/StevensAero-WaterBoard-Laser-Cut-Electric-RC-Airboat-Kit-p-20119.html
  5. Interesting tidbits of information about the Von Krieger 540K coming up for auction at Pebble Beach this Sunday. For example, Jay Leno says he'll be there, but won't bid on Nazi-era German cars. 1936 Mercedes could break record at Pebble Beach auction | Auto news | Detroit Free Press | freep.com
  6. I bet anyone who can afford 2.2 million for a car can afford to streetify and federalize it.
  7. The Sesto Elemento. $2.2 million. 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. http://money.cnn.com/2012/08/17/autos/lamborghini-sesto-elemento/index.html?hpt=hp_t3
  8. It's for ages 12 and up. Based on our modern educational system, they'll never figure it out or worry about it.
  9. I will take another leap of inference and assume that we're talking about plastic model kits. Wooden ship kits, etc., would take it to a whole different level.
  10. Kind of a confusing question. Are we talking about a kit in the largest scale or a kit of the largest size when assembled, regardless of scale? I guess the latter, so it would probably be one of the ship models listed above.
  11. Thanks, but I can't visualize a metallic convertible top.
  12. I wanted to get the full weather package with top and side curtains (plus banjo steering wheel), which would make it pretty much like my brother's old MGA - a total blast and a LOT faster. I can almost live without AC in Knoxville, but not without heat.
  13. I assume this is how it looks on the shelf. Just so you know what you're looking for.
  14. Looks like something I could work with, but it's in a bottle and not a rattle can spray, which I need for an overall even look, and I don't have an airbrush. I guess I should look at Duplicolor. Just wondered if anyone had used something like what I was looking for.
  15. Is there a readily available spray paint that's closer to charcoal than a rich black? I need it for a 1/16 fabric convertible top and cylinder head. Sounds like something that military modelers might know about.
  16. I just thought I'd attempt to make this pertinent to the forum.
  17. I once wanted to buy a Beck 550 Spyder, and couldn't find any source for installing a heater. Vintage Air doesn't offer anything for air-cooled engines, etc. I asked members of a 550 Spyder owners' forum for suggestions and got multiples of the same answer: "Get a down-filled jacket."
  18. The rear wheels appear to have deeper dish than the front ones, sort of like Ferrari GTO Borranis.
  19. The white certainly adds contrast and more detailed interest. Just a beautiful job.
  20. I don't think it's San Francisco. Looks like somewhere overseas. It just seems that a paved area like where the car sits wouldn't slope down so much toward the water as the area on the other side.
  21. I think the car is real, but that shot has a very weird perspective.
  22. Hmmm. The pole vault might actually send you into orbit.
  23. Go to the third subject posted at the top of the General page. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=59113
  24. Does a 1/4 scale engine kit count? http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=60852
