Customer service is more a factor than big chain stores or the internet. My local hobby shop, 2.5 hours away, thrives because they have people that know what they sell and always ask if they can help. He does have decent prices and that helps......but people with sales skills are vital.

First off....very nice work!!! And I too agree....this kit, while not state of the art we expect today, it is far from the dog some claimed. I built my Booth car the week the kit came out. I was able to tuck the wheels and tires under the body by shortening the axle stubs on the wheels backs and a very slight trim of the rear axle. Up front I just tucked them in as there is no real front suspension. A cool little kit that I want to build more versions. The car did well in the IMSA Kelly Girl series and some famous modified drivers used Gremlin bodies too.

Half way between box stock and scratchbuilding.....I define it as parts swapping with heavy mods possible.

Many ARII kits are reissues from other Asian manufactures. So the kits vary wildly. From very basic 'motorized' kits to decent full kits. Any kit in question??

And why some recent Revell kits are 'molded in USA, box printed in China'.....

A hard fast answer you will not get on model cars being tooled now. The model companies are all very small companies and this kind of info is not usually public. It's a lot!! But the total cost of research, planning, drawings in 2-D and then 3-D, tooling samples and then molds. But it doesn't end there. Moebius had to almost scrap the original Hudson mold as the green house was wrong....the bad one wasn't free! So the total cost will be a combination of all that. More than you think...let's leave it as that.

Very cool....I like such projects!!! I can see how this could be made as a laser kit like my Dog Catcher kit.....

Welcome to the club. My stuff is copies all the time....and sold for more than mine and the quality is what I call 'junk'. But recourse....not much at this level........

The truth is out there.....but those that know it all can't talk about it. IMC has given up on the reissues...but who knows....

I have that on DVD......cool to see a firetruck battery run low....get itself to the firehouse and park itself on the charger that connects via wipers on the chassis!!! UNREAL!

I have had a few conversations with Dave......just VERY busy. Moebius has a lot of kits across the auto, Sci Fi and figure lines....Dave works on them all. All is good as far as I know and I am sure Dave M will post when there is something for public eyes.

I am in the process of doing artwork for a set of Gasser themed decals. These will be screen printed by a major decal company. But I am not 100% up to speed on what should be included??? Any help would be great.......let's hear what you want! Thanks

The kit is a reissue of the 1960's era Revell kit with Model King box and decals. This is really a rerun of a sell out of this kit from MK a few years ago. It can be built into a decent kit but is a 50 plus year old mold. 53 or 54 and a number of other options are included.

I do not have any pics of my machine online....but the type of my machine is like this one. Mine is 12x18 table 25 watts. More than enough power for wood, matt, plastic and acrylics. The input for mine is from CorelDraw artwork. Anything you can draw can be cut and/or engraved. It is only 2D but I have made many a model with mine. Another body laser cut on my machine. More limited than 3-D printer but much more useful than the 'pen' printer.

It's cool.....in a craft project way........my laser cutting table still has more potential than this pen for model builders IMHO........

I've always loved Shadows of any find but this is one of my favs!!!! Always hoped for a 1/20 plastic kit!!! NICE WORK!!!

Very nice work. I am not a big truck guy but this is a great kit for a causal build. I have not decaled mine yet....still thinking about it!!! Hard to tell it is a snap kit!!!!
