  1. Eye candy or Real ? Did Harry post this under your name Cranky . Perfect roach coach ! I am now hungry . I'd like a Chili and Tacho please . I will not be fit to share space with anyone for a while . Congratulations Doozey . Just right and amazing . I am glad you shared your talents here . Hoping to see more of your work please . Thanx ..
  2. I am a big E Car fan . This is a big Ecar . Don't forget a simple fact . The Edsels did not have a dedicated Assembly Line . Made in both Ford (and in '58 Mercury) Plants , each build was viewed as a distraction / inconvience by all involved . Wrong trim / colors/and every thing else that could go wrong ..did . Just like Murphy said it would ; #17 ? Part of the reason of going to all Ford Line Powerplants . I like every part of this build . Just right build of a much malinged and typical gee - wizz techknowledgy dream car . Thanx ..
  3. Awesome .... I just cannot think of anything else to say ..Oh yeah ..."just right" +++
  4. Amazing !!!
  5. It was Vic Damone ! Two hits ; a commercial - Coppertone tan jingle . Volare , it turned into a commercial . Go figgure . This build combo is outstandine . You had me at green ...Thanx ..
  6. All of the above . The faded and dissapearing finish ... = just right . Thanx ..
  7. Gee , all the Nashes I've ever seen were Factory Stock . I was there when they were new . So ..what are your plans for the unused stock parts ??
  8. The gaposis in noted on this model . On the gapology scale , rated 1-10 , with 10 being closest to perfectly spaced ; this one is around a 6 . Thanx ..
  9. I must add to the accalodes for Steve Kohler . I bought a kit from him . The body has issues that are smalland tricky to fix . Fintip missing due to air bubble is one of them . And a couple of more small issues . I notified him , a new body arrived Post Haste . Unfortunatly a carbon copy of the first body . One of the three purchase need corrected . I will work on these . I was able to make it acceptable . Not quite what I had expected . I will just consider this Caster's work for future decisions . I can fix and work with Imperfection . Some issues are just more complicated . Some are Impossible . I did another purchase from Steve since I posted this originally . Two models from the same caster . One is perfect , the other , not so much . I did not contact Steve . I would think he takes me as a rippoff ! I am indefinably not buying from this particular caster again . "Bitten by a Dog the first time ; shame on the dog . Bitten by the same dog a second time ; shame on me . The third time and any beyond ; I'm a Masochistic !" None of this describes me . Thanx ..

    '66 Nova

It isn't Stock . Just a sleeper . GM did not install headers , illegal exhausts , Hi-po exhaust borderlining illegal in most states . Thrush Mufflers is a mis-nomer . Traction bars were non existant . Much needed in Novas . One leaf spring per side is way too much ! Sorry no engine pics . It has the hi-po 327 . Custom chromed valve covers , Stock Covers are no longer in the kit . An open element Air Cleaner Assembly . Posting picsw with Photobucket is a nightmare currently . Thanx for the comments . Both bad & good ...

    '66 Nova

This my first build in over a year . I did this one for a friend . He recieved it yesterday . I have two more pics . Underside and fuzzy , the location of the details pop . Enjoy ; I build Factory Stock . I was out of my comfort zone . This slightly illegal exhaust consists of ('66 Vintage) Thrush Mufflers . The early ones were painted blue and swiped with a stripe of yellow . The woodpecker decals then applied . I did some new proceedures on this one . The Carpet is black embossing powder . The Shifter is a straight pin with a scratch built lockout . I foiled under all the paint where the emblems are . Not going there again . While scraping the top layers of paint to reveal the emblems were a disaster . The side V/8 Emblems are now ; chrome paint . My first time for traction bars . Overall , a rewarding kit . Thanx .. Hmmmm...no matter what ..I cannot post
  12. I am glad you stuck to new materials for a worksite . If it was a weathered load , it would be a broken down truck with a rotted load . It would have been stuck in the same spot for too long . This depicts a working truck in all of it's working glory . The weathering is so just right as all of your builds . You mentioned chrome rusts . It is the steel under it and causes the bond to break . This causes the flaking . During the Korean Conflict , raw materials were rationed . This occured during '51-'53 MY . Please correct me if I am wrong about the time period . This includes copper used to bond steel and Chrome . Chrome was rationed also . The Stainless Steel oxidized on the Auto trim during these years . Still a better solution to Black Out steel trim . I always look for your builds Doc Cranky . Always impecable to see and admire . Your salvage on wheels is sometimes savage I must say ..lol .. Thanx ..
  13. Tres bon ..Que bella ..Just right . Detriot was moving away from woodies around this time . Excellent concept . Thanx ..
  14. In the day these were custom built . The Running Chassis , in this case Duesenberg , was supplied to a Custom Body Finisher . At one time these were profuse . Whyman , Fisher Body , Le Baron , Dietric . Quite a few in Europe also . The colors were custom made also . Anything goes is the byword . You did well and just right . I am glad to see this drug up . Thanx ..
  15. Wow , wow and wow . This has ..wow factor . The window frames and all the just right details are amazing . Thanx for sahring ..
  16. I have a convertible resin body I inadvertantly sat the body funny on the chassis while the paint cured . The same thing after the clearcoat . I did not catch it until a couple of years later . Wow , what a twist . I just placed it on correctly and after a couple of years it is now straightned out . This is the only advantage of being faster at painting over building I can think of . My version of why I have a backlog , you understand . Stalled projects is closer to the truth . Thanx ..
  17. Nothing not to like , or nothing lacking . Just right ..Merci Beaucoupe
  18. Amazing Eye candy . Just right in every detail . How many gallons per foot please ? What a great trio . . Thanx for sharing ...
  19. Here ; benpackaz@hotmail.com . He did offer a Corvan at one time . Some work and you have it . Better than TKM . Around 5 years into Resisn Quality ...Thanx ..
  20. The Engine from the The engine from the '85 (Monogram 1/24) Mustang SVO is the right mill for this one . A magazine back in the day ran a feature article making this model . I have the jewel like 10 holers and a collection of pieces to make this . Yes , another stalled project . You did this justice . Just right in all the details . Eye candy for me ....Thanx ..
  21. Both builds are just right . The black w/blue stripes is closest to Factory Stock , my genre . So ...it is my favorite . The difference between the kits does show . I think the short pipes are correct . I just like the long tail pipes . Thanx ..
  22. I know what you did to complete this model . Well done on a stalled project . It is just right and great choice of colors . Is the interior correct ? Thanx ....
  23. Search for ; <rocketfin.com> , scroll down to Model Car Links , left click . The next screen is Alphabetical . Shawn Carpenter ... Thanx ...
  24. I like this excellent build . I don't care where the Manufactuer is or was located . In 1970 , Czechoslovakain Republic was behind the Iron Curtain . Tarta is one of the Earliest Car Makers . Still in business I may add . I like all forms of different cars . If it was a resin , I am in for one . Thank you for sharing this just right creation .
