  1. Not all turbos are intercooled . All three of these are just right . The Nova reminds me of a Speedtrap Town close to where I used to live in Ohio . At one end of the small town was a Corvair Radar Car . This is the direction of the most traffic flow . On the other end was a MoPar , stage III Wedge . Before Hemis , and unbeatable . Thanx ..
  2. Yes the Caddy Engine is similar . Some claim Studebaker copied the Caddy . Not at all probable . I find these same people claim Chevrolet provided SBC for AMC to make their V/8s . The lead time needed is way too long for this to happen . You are indeed right about the Granatelli Speed Equipment . These parts weren't available until the mid '60's . Just not in time for the Engine Swaps in the '50's . Thanx ..
  3. Harry , I give uo . You got me again . Thanx ..
  4. I'll take all the unwanted flat chassis you don't want . Everyone PM me please . We could trade or $ . I don't think you can buy these parts from Perry's Resin . When he bought his Hobby Shop , he dropped the parts end of this business . Try <rocketfin.com/model_car_links> . Scroll down the model cars on the home page . There wil be a Search Box , inquire there . Happy Hunting ..Thanx ..
  5. The Original Monogram Kit was a three in one cira 1961 . Roy could build a Roadster or Three Window Coupe . Three different versions ; Stock , Custom , or Drag . This is the way it was and we liked it . The stock version never did get released . It was molded in Maroon . You did a competent job on this box stock build . Just right . Thanx ..
  6. Harry , thanx . I got this one right also . I do every now and then get it right . Identifing rides , not so much . Thanx ..
  7. Quite a done build . Just right . The blue fits this well . Excellent finish . Not garished up with decorations . IMHO . Johnny ; I had one of these stolen along with dozens of other kits in 2005 . The Emblem for the hood and trunk is best sourced from the Revelle '56 Chevy . I still have two of the sedans to make into Factory Stock '53 & '54 . Another stalled pair of projects .
  8. Amazing ! Just right . I am still waiting for the fruation of the conopy topped cars of the yet to be realized future . This is Amazing ...Thanx ..
  9. Just right . In the day , Engine swapper made ; Studellacs , Studemobiles , Studeiacs , Studeries , Studeords , Studecolns . There weren't mant Studepars . The Hemis were expensive . Even in the Bone Yards . Stude Engines just didn't have any Speed Equipment . If a rodder had any Speed Parts for these engines , it was adapted or homemade . Shame , as you see if you know Studebaker History , these V/8 had plenty of potential . Your model depicts a Street Hemi in a beautiful killer package . Thanx ..
  10. It looks like a Willys . It is modified . The Paint sceme is definatly Willys . I cannot make out the Radiator Cap and it probablt isn't stock anyway . Thanx ..
  11. Hello . I saw your response including mention of your Anglia build . My first car was a "New Anglia , 1960" . How do I find this post please . Happy Bui;ding ..God Bless you and yours ..John JR

    '49 Merc

What's not to like . Excellent Candy Merc. . Just right . Thanx ..
  13. These engines were rated 225 HP from 225 CID . The Aluminum blocks were tough enough . The Glycol Coolant was the enemy . I serviced an Early Production '62 Valiant . It had the Hyper Pac . I snickered at the Engine . When I was done , the owner insisted I take for a short spin . I changed my mind and was impressed . He bought the car so equipped . It had dual exhausts along with the rest of the package . It is who you know and who you are . Just like today . Thanx ..
  14. Falcons , '60-'61-'62 were available at R&R . Contact Steve Kohler . It is inconcieveable the rules were changed for Trans AM racint to level the playing field for Camaros . No wonder the SBCs were so awful on the streets . Thanx ..
  15. Thank you Harry . I don't know ?? Thanx ..
  16. The Hot Rod parts you refer to are the "Hyper Pac" offered as an Option during MYs ;'62-'63-'64 . Including a Not Street Cam . An aluminum block , intake , oil pan , valve and front cover . A Carter AFB and a split exhaust header . The Header is of two "W"s into a "Y" configuration into a single pipe . These cars were not ment to be used on the street . Only at Sanctioned Competition Tracks . I believe these pieces are in the Lindurg Kit . Tha amazing part was : warnings about adding Glycol Based Antifreeze . One on the Glove box door . TWO in the service manual . One on the Core Support . Stating never add this as serious damage will occur . Across town , GM was stuffing the new Glycol Base Antifreeze into the Buick V/6s ans V/8s . Is it any wonder they had to drop the names Slylark and Skyhawk . These aluminum Engines would melt down into the coolant , go to the radiator abd condense into a solid again . Clog up the radiator , overheat the engines and drop the Steel cylinder liners into the crankshaft . Most owners this happened to as the blue overheat light came on too late . What did Chrysler know that GM didn't ? LOL . BTW , it looks like a good casting . Thanx ..
  17. I just have to comment on this . Burt Ward despised the Type Casting of his day . He did deserve better . This 'Cuda would be a perfect fit for his charachter . Just right and real nice . Thanx ..
  18. Thank you Harry for this stumper . Thanx ..
  19. Hey Randy , am after somethimg you have previously cast . Do I still have to wait until late January ? Thanx ..God Bless you and yours ..John JR

  20. Hi Randy ;

We had a discussion about the remaining '49 Chevy at your resin business , Perry's resins . You requested $55 for one of these . I put onto your Pay Pal that amount . I am not hearing back from you . Is there a problem ?

  21. These are currently being finished in Elkhart , In . . A few went to Indianaopolis on the 16th of Dec . This batch will go to the DNR for use . Is this the future ? I have a 3,000 volt Super Trembler with a Gahiggamagigga Magnet . It is capable of 0-100-0 MPH in 12 1/2 seconds . Finally a car that can optperform the '66 Shelby Cobra . It did it in 13 secnds flat . Bless us all ..Thanx ..
  22. I think this is a 318 ? I see the coil back 'there' . Just right . Well done project . Thanx ..
  23. Oh , I think you got ma again Jeff . I will wait . You do nice work . Thanx ..
  24. Oh , I think you got ma again Jeff . I will wait . You do nice work . Thanx ..
  25. Ummmm ?? What hood was the Javelin Trans AM hood ? Was it the raised at the cowl Ram Air hood on the AMX Javelins ('71-74 MYs) . Or is it the stock Javelin hood found on the entire Javelin line without the Ram Air hood ? Thanx ...
