  1. Half this city is abandoned, I have been in some cool ones. Philadelphia general hospital was closed and abandoned for 30 years. They were shut down by the federal government and made to leave over night. In 2005 we did the roof for the new owners who converted it to condos. As the roofers we are always first in,it was like walking into a 1960s horror flick. The morge in the basement was the coolest, the hospital was basically still fully equipped. Anyway here is a roof were starting monday, appeared to be emplty 10-15 years and a old factory. BTW,Silver Street is where Rocky lived in Rocky 1.
  2. I am newb at modeling and also was intrigued with R&R on Ebay. I went ahead and purchased a 78 four door Caddy. I don't have much to compare it to,the only other resin I have is a Flintstone piece. But it appears decent and not too different than styrene.
  3. Nice trailer/gift James Here is my weekly finds.
  4. I've been thinking on this topic. I would like Lincoln Mark VIII ,Olds Cutlass Supreme and Cierra and just more four doors from the 70's and some more pick ups.
  5. May the road rise to meet him, congratulations. What's the little fellas name ?
  6. I am really sorry to hear this.I still remember my first friend dying as a kid,it was an auto accident. It was devastating. We were 13 and he had stolen a corvette and rolled it.Unfortunately these types of accidents with multiple teens dying is almost common in my area. I do believe it is a law that junior licensed drivers are not to have more than passengers. May be wrong but it is my rule with my kids. As a parent who has an 18 yr. old driving and a 16 yr. old in training there is nothing more serious than driving habits.
  7. The 62 is a Imperial hardtop, unopened. The johans are still sealed as well. The T is on sprues.
  8. I have eclectic taste and this seams right up my alley. Plus I am easily amused.
  9. Harry are these oob or have you added to them,if so how much?
  10. A dropped deuce,and a deuce and a drop.
  11. Thanks Terry, one for the link and two for your dedication to the hobby. Really cool history and I am going to look into the publication.
  12. It's a generation thing I think. Marks is the mid 1900's definition and racer has the 2000's definition.
  13. I saw this in center city Philadelphia, And this one in a alley in West Philly

  17. Welcome to the fold. Look forward to seeing your models.
  18. Most are complete kits. Item description will state either way. No pics but if you Google Modelhaus there are a few people who have pictures of Modelhaus product. As far as confidence of quality,I have only ordered wheels and parts which have been nicer than any manufacturers products. I just orderd my first kit,61-4door Impala and I can hardly wait.
  19. Nice turn out on the tables and the pavement. Congratulations to all and thanks for the pictures.
  20. The old adage applies to me.. Don't sweat the details, get it done . Then again I don't have the experience that would justify doing much else.
  21. I am thinking about buying an old car, leaning more towards a hot rod but open to all American iron. Took a look at a 66 Ford Ranchero,289. Pretty clean, new exhaust good paint with one or two small rust spots. Wrong real bumper and original interior that needed attention.
  22. I had to click on my pic, then when it opened in a larger window the links are next to it and it let me copy and paste.
  23. I'd give him $500 for it. And yes I would build it,eventually. And probably throw the box away when I was done. I'm going to watch it and see if it comes down.
  24. Pretty cool kit, nice looking truck on top of it. I've seen a Jimmy Carter dragster as well. I figure eventually it will make a cool pair.
  25. I ran into this the other day on the Bay,it was out of my range though .
