What is with ebay?
Greg Cullinan replied to car lover 1996's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I had an odd experience yesterday,I received an email with a paypal request for $5 with a note that read "handling charges not included in final sale". I initially suspected scam, but curiosity got the bst of me so I replied "vague message what is it in reference to" which in turn netted me a message with a reference to "papal" which I assume was a spelling error, but the message read " I hope I didn't ruin the surprise but Kristy (wife) recently bought a kit" My name is on the email, paypal, ebay but shipping name is my wires. I'm still thinking scam and I replied"no problem and no surprises just still unsure of transaction, please provide transaction information" . I did not receive a reply so I did a search on my paypal history which I located the transaction on ebay. I bought these two Amt customizing kits for $115 plus $11 shipping. Now they were advertised as "new and never opened" which thy are open but on sprues and new. And the seller is new. So I don't have a problem with the not as advertised part since it was close and I assume an honest mistake. I just am uncomfortable with asking for money after deal is done . I've bought from Jim,scaledreams, modelexpress and have been refunded money due to cheaper shipping, also same on ebay a few times. I don't want to be a jerk or cheap, and feel for the new seller but not sure if I am responsible. -

Very nice and a great save. The color is perfect and the pipes look awesome.

Hope all is well. Great build and the extra accessories are awesome. One of my favorite all time cars and yours is one I would want.

Nice,I love the stance and the wheels. And the paint is a sweet shade of blue. Plane looks cool as well. I haven't done any models other than cars yet...Yet. Seeing your plane makes me want to get to it!

Question about Contest Model Building.
Greg Cullinan replied to davyou5's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
How do you go about displaying a build at the NNL East? -
NNL Nationals #31
Greg Cullinan replied to tim boyd's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That's pretty cool. Sounds like it is just to show what you have going on and to show the detail that goes into certain builds. Is this area judged and awarded ? -

Tim these are some great pictures.I am up to 126 I've only been to one show, nnl east last year so I have a question. Why do people bring uncompleted models to shows? I see some that look out the box set up on wheels. Not that it is a big deal to me,just curious. -
Here is my attempt ...

Fun Day.....had by two friends
Greg Cullinan replied to Nova-ss's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Nice ! It does sound like a good day,it is cool you have a pal to share this hobby with. -
Haven't posted a build here in a while, not much coming off the bench. I sanded every millimeter of this kit, trying to eliminate all seams and mold lines. Just practicing building to be honest. I gave up and didn't detail under the hood as planned. I did drill out kit headers and velocity stacks. Kit decals feel apart(so plain jane),airbrushed with HOK Sunset Pearl, parts box wheels.
