  1. Exactly, this is IMO the worst '70 Challenger kit out there. I am currently building a panther pink T/A using the old Monogram kit, it's a nice kit and it has all the parts needed to build a correct T/A, including the 340 six pack + the body looks way better. I would build this one as a R/T and get a Monogram later to build the T/A, or find a 340 six pack engine from the Monogram T/A kit or the Revell AAR Cuda kit.
  2. Nice job!
  3. I have an air brush, but prefer to use my mini spray gun for the clear. I must say I paint in my garage, if you are painting inside a house or appartment, an airbrush may be a better idea, a mini spray gun makes a lot more fumes than an airbrush. That said, I wouldn't spray urethane clear in a house or appartment.
  4. Too cold to snow over here... (-24 right now)
  5. I would say the Li'l Red Express
  6. You can get a 6 pack RR hood here; Resin parts list See picture It is made for the AMT kit, but should work on a Johan too, both are 1/25. I ordered a few times from him, good guy and he has nice parts.
  7. Wow super nice build! I say bravo!
  8. Thanks Harry And of course, the same results can be had with other types of paint, many here proved this. I just think it's easier with urethane.
  9. Thanks everyone! Yes! Decals only had red stripes, so I painted the blue stripes
  10. I disagree! Besides, it's raining here in Quebec right now

    2010

    Very nice and clean builds!
  12. So this is my last one for 2010, started last sunday, finished yesterday (vacations are great!) That's the Revell kit. At first, it was supposed to be orange, then I found that blue at work, and thought it would look great on the Challenger, there was no label on the can so I have no idea what blue it is exactly... Anyway, here's some pics;
  13. Nice clean builds!
  14. Thanks everyone! It's a pic I got while searching on Google images, and among all the flags that showed there, I choose one that is wrong...
  15. Looks great! Would look eben better with the red wheels I think, I say do it! And come back with new pictures showing those red wheels
  16. Build'em guys, this is a nicely detailed kit and fun to build!
  17. Very nice Mustang! I like it! Bravo mon ami
  18. I am also a urethane user, I use it because that's what we use at work, I spray urethanes everyday so I'm used to working with the stuff... I spray my models at home, in the garage, I installed a fan and of course I use a respirator. A respirator should always be used when spraying all paints, not just urethanes. And I would never spray any paints inside a house. When I lived in an appartment, I was painting my models with a brush and Humbrol paints, then polished and got surprising results, for brush painted models! I use a 4:1 urethane clear (used many brands like Nason, Fusion, RedLine, Select, all 4:1) and spray only one coat, with a mini HVLP gravity feed spray gun, and if I'm lucky, there's no dust on it and doesn't need any polishing, otherwise I just sand off the dusts with 2000grit sandpaper and polish with 3M perfect-it compound, then some Turtle Wax. So here's the results I usually get, this one was not polished at all, not even waxed. Me, I am satisfied with the results I get using urethane. But do you guys think the clear is too thick on this SuperBee? Feel free to answer, I am open to criticism and sorry if my english is bad, I'm french! BTW, outstanding model there David, as always!
  19. Well, I think it's a 1963, no year mentioned on the box. It's the Tamiya kit. I built this one for my girlfriend, she always said she would like to have an old Mini, she never mentioned the scale... She said she wanted it in dark blue, with white roof and the british flag on it. So here it is;
  20. Excellent Marcos, as always!
  21. 1- Those jokes are too funny 2- I thought I had a bad year... 3- After reading some other posts here, my year wasn't that bad after all... Hope everything gets better for you guys in 2011.
  22. Excellent! I'll be building the 2009 Revell kit soon... Belle job et super peinture!
  23. They were in the kit. It's the Revell kit, the one with the yellow car boxart. Included in that kit were white, black and gold stripes.
