  1. Nice! Looks sinister in black. I've built that kit - not easy, lots of tiny parts. Great work on your build! Sam
  2. Beautiful! I like those VW's! Sam
  3. That's a beauty! Great colors. I'm working on one of those kits now. Good work! Sam
  4. Great save of a classic! Beautiful finish and engine details. Nice work! Sam
  5. Very nice truck! Great color! Looks good shortened. Sam
  6. Excellent work on the truck and all the cars! I like that Plymouth wagon! Sam
  7. Nice! Great colors, and it looks good lowered. Very good work. Sam
  8. OK, it looks like it finally worked! Many thanks to forum member Casey for his help! Here's a 62 Dart I originally built in the 1980's. The kit was of a Dart 440 hardtop, but for the rebuild, I converted it into a cheapie base Dart 2-door sedan by sanding off some chrome trim and emblems, then making side window frames and door posts from plastic strips. Engine is a Mopar 413 (I think) from an old AMT 49 Merc kit. Parts box wheels and tires with dog dishes from the Little Red Wagon kit. Roll bar and seat belts/harness inside. I was going for a grandpa's car pro street-type look. Less than perfect, but it was fun to build! Comments welcome! Edit: Oops, I just noticed a hunk of dirt laying on the cowl, and on the driver's door. BTW, What's the deal with the kit dashboard? It's definitely not a 62 Dart unit, but it came with the kit.
  9. I've been trying to post this model for several days, and the post always disappears. If this works, I'll add details later. Here's my old Jo-Han 62 Dodge Dart made into a base 2 door sedan pro street-type car.
  10. Wow! Another beauty, Harry! Your workmanship and attention to detail is so good! Great work! The hood doesn't look too bad to me. Sam
  11. I clicked on compatibility view, and that made the "quote" button work, (thanks, Casey) but my new topic post still disappears when I hit "post topic". Crazy!
  12. Internet Explorer. The weird thing is that everything worked a month or so ago.
  13. Very nice! Great finish and engine detail. Yeah, the glass is a little dark, but it's a beautiful model! Sam
  14. Casey, I tried your method and it worked! I wrote up the post, pasted in the photos, and they looked good. I hit "post topic" and......gone! It threw me back to the main forums page and didn't post my topic! I give up! Sam
  15. Very cool Merc! The flames are great. Good work! Sam
  16. Casey, that's one of the photos I was trying to post. Was it from my Flickr site?
  17. Roger, I have 12mb of attachment space left. I also have a Flickr photo account with hundreds of pics in it, but they "upgraded" their site, and now you can't copy and paste the photo locations into this forum any more, so I use attachments. I deleted some of my old attachments here and tried to post again, but it still didn't work. The last model I posted here was a 57 Chevy in January, and everything worked then. ?????
  18. I've been trying to post my latest build here for several days, and it doesn't work! I write it up, attach photos, hit "post", and it throws me back to the main "forums" page and my post is gone! I tried three times with the same result. Also, the "quote" button doesn't work when replying to posts. Anyone else having problems like this? Edit: apparently, this post worked. Maybe it's something with the photos?
  19. Very nice! Great colors! I like the wheels and the engine looks great! Sam
  20. Great! Amazing detail for 1/48 scale! Nice work on all those bikes! Sam
  21. Another typical amazing build by Harry! Great job, Harry! The red wheels look like the factory should have made them that color. Great work! Sam
  22. It's a beauty! Great finish! Those snap-tites make nice models with a little work. Sam
  23. Great diorama! I like all the grungy detail - looks like a real garage! Excellent work! Sam
  24. Very nice Virago, not an XS1100! Great detail! I had an 82 Virago 750. Kept it for 13 years and put 33,000 miles on it. Great bike! Sam
