DENCON - No longer taking website orders
Porky replied to Drake69's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Hey Mark Man I can't belive someone sold you that thing, people that cast and sell parts like that give us resin slingers a bad name. Not all of us casters sell junk like that or take forever to ship out orders. We always try to get orders out within a week but for the most part we only do semi truck parts, maybe we need to get back into the car parts again. -
Hey Gordon That is a sweet looking project you have there.

Peterbilt 389 Hood Conversion 1/24
Porky replied to Porky's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Hey Matt You can make it work but you would need to add external breathers and relocate the front axle, the 377 has internal breathers and a set back front axle, the 389 is a forward axle design,,the 378 kits would make it a bit of an easier project but I would think you could do it on the 377, I do have the external vortox breathers. Hey and now I have those red chicken lights so you can light up your tail  -

resin bunk
Porky replied to scale trucker's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Hey Gordon I don't know of anyone casting the entire 63 inch flat top sleeper in 1/24 scale, I cast the flat top panel for it to convert the kit sleeper to a flat top, never really thought about casting the complete sleeper when it is so easy to convert the kit sleeper with our top panel. I guess it is something we could do if there was enough interest in it. We will have a complete sleeper in the 36 & 48 inch before too long. Ben Wicker is working on the master parts for those now, maybe I will try to get him to do a 63 inch next. Have you done anything with the 389 hood conversion you picked up from us on e-bay a few weeks ago ??? I was not happy with it the way it was, the mold messed up causing all the mess under the hood so I reworked one and recast it with a separate grill shell, opened the grill up between the bars so you can lay a grill screen in it from the back side, a much better parts set now. If you have not already used the hood let me know and I will send you one of the reworked hood and grill on me. Also we now have an interior update kit for the late model Italeri Pete's, dash, steering wheel and platinum series interior door panels -
Hey Josh I have never built one of the 379 Ext. conversions so I am not sure how much help I will be but I will call Bill Drennen asap and see what kind of input he has on the problem as he is the one who designed the conversion and wrote the instruction sheet. I will PM you my phone number and you can give me a call if you want.

P&P Resin Works '53 Ford Extra Cab
Porky replied to doublej's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Hey JJ Thanks for the good words on the casting. I pulled a few more of the 53's today getting ready for the NNL East in Jersey next weekend and I saw that the roof is getting a bit thin on the thing, I guess that is what you are talking about. Guess I will have to make a new mold for it before too long. Maybe do one with the chopped top you are wanting at some point as well.
