Ice Road Truckers
Porky replied to highway's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
The 900L hood is not as wide as the 900B at the front and the side of the fenders are pretty diff from the 900B fenders the side where it rolls over toward the tires is wider and has no lip on the edge of the wheel well like the 900B has, hope this helps. -

Hey Yall, The trucks in the pics look like W900L's to me instead of B models,,,the hood and grill is narrower on the L models. I offer the Studio sleeper cabs and the 900L hoods if they would help anyone out. Matt, hope you did not mind me posting this on your thread. -

Hey Joe, That thing is gona be sweeeeeeeeeet !!! Can't wait to see it finished, keep up the good work.
-
Hello, That kit has not been produced in many years, the last time it was issued was a Coors beer truck, I think in the mid 80's, the first time it was issued was in 72' I think. They will not be re-issued again or so I have been told as the master molds were altered to produce the KW Aerodyne kits. The K-123 is a hard kit to find and be ready to shuck out close to or more than 100.00 bucks for one if you can find one. At some point in time I may cast one of the cabs in resin.

Outside source for diesel engines?
Porky replied to Badluck 13's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Your Welcome, Mike This is another item I just came out with, I thought with the Pete 378 back out from Italeri this would be a nice touch for it, a valve cover with the Detriot Series 60 script on it, It would also work with the resin Series 60 engine that Daniel listed here. Another option for the Italeri 378 kit, an updated Ultra High Roof cab, has the larger side windows with the rivet detail under them, larger safty glass in pass door & updated door handles and the back of the cab is set up for a walk through sleeper, working on a 70 inch unibilt to go with it now as well as a daycab panel. cab with 379 Ext. hood & custom louvered grill with 357 / 378 Set Back Front Alxe Hood -
