  1. Participated in the 24 hour group build on Facebook over the weekend. Unopened kit to complete build in one day! Certainly no contest winner but it was fun seeing what you can do in such a short time as my builds are usually 3 month affairs!
  2. My first completion of 2024. This was part of the "Overhaulin Challenge" at our model club. We were given a "rebuilder" model at random and had to make what we could out of it.
  3. Big thanks to everyone. Hope 2024 is a prosperous modeling year for all of us!
  4. Love the Holman Moody safety frame!
  5. It was a small class this year. Only completed 4.
  6. Was honored to win the Built Buds way award at the recent Motor City NNL.
  7. Very nice build. What paint did you use for the body color?
  8. Thanks everyone for the comments. I took the Vega to the Great Lakes Challenge show over the weekend and it did pretty well.
  9. Fresh off the bench. Still a few small details to work on but I took advantage of the weather to get a few outdoor shots of the Barry Setzer Vega.
  10. Amazing build. If that's the AMC I saw at the HMCA show it looks even better in person.
  11. Some in progress shots of the Vega I am working on. My first try at scratcbuilding headers.
  12. Very cool
  13. Wanted to thank everyone for all the positive comments. She won a second place award at the Heartland Nationals last weekend.
  14. Did this 56 as a mild custom. Something you might see cruising the local Big Boy on a Saturday night. Shaved the handles and emblems, removed the "B" pillar, shortened and set back the front bumper then added a Canadian Meteor grill bar, lowered the suspension 3 inches, and put on a set of chrome reverse wheels with baby moon caps. The interior is done in mohair and a 60 Chevy steering wheel was used. Thanks for looking.
  15. I am liking this one!
  16. Thanks to everyone for the comments. Took this one to the SEMMEX IPMS show over the weekend and won a Gold medal award.
  17. Its made from black solid core packing wire. Thanks
  18. Thanks everyone for all the positive comments. Took it to the SEMMEX IPMS show last weekend and to my surprise it took a 2nd place silver medal.
  19. I bought one of these way back when they were first issued. The chrome had a "frosted" look to it on the early releases. If you contacted them they would replace the defective chrome with new corrected parts.
  20. Very clean build and nice job on the hinges
  21. Just the basic AMT Edsel kit. Thanks
