Built this back in 2009. Was my first (and last so far,but I'll do more down the road) attempt at rust. AMT's Willys, built as if it'd been sitting in someone's back yard, and had a new buyer who slapped some new tires on it to load it up and haul it home (rough translation...I forgot to weather the tires/wheels until after, and it was a 48 hour build,LMBO )

Had a mini-road trip with my Wife and 1 of the kids (my youngest, the boy) to one of our favorite pizza places on the planet (something we don't get as often since we moved from that area ot this one--about 1.5-2 hours driving distance--after the house fire in 2011). Great pizza, and the best company to share it with (only coulda been better if my daughter had went with as well)

Wow,my heart breaks for that child too The truth has been spoken, that's exactly right

It was a TOUGH choice....ultimately,I didn't,because I know what would have happened to the kids. Jade being a white blonde/blue eye'd little girl and her brother Jason (biological siblings, mind you, they ARE blood related) looking more pure bred African American, they would have been pulled apart/seperated imo. I did have pretty strong words with both parents earlier today when they came to thank me/apologise...everybody makes mistakes, but no one's kids need suffer from dumb mistakes like that. I don't think that will be a problem in the future (the drinking or the leaving the kids alone like that),but there's no doubt in their minds what I will do should I see it again. The thing too is,I know both of them (parents) enough to know that both love those kids, and neither one of them normally drinks or worse. They'd apparently had a major fight and lost their heads. Fortunately, nothing bad came of it,but next time, cops are coming. A lose-lose all the way around (last night and if there's a next time)

IDK yet what the Wife/family has planned over that weekend, but if we're just staying close to home/in,I'll give it a try. I NEED to get a build under my belt,it's been a coupla years (since I built/finished anything),LOL I have several kits bought in the last couple months to pick from, and the supplies I'll need (not including body paint),LOL,just need the gumption to actually sit at the workbench and build on one

I just smoked 3 back to back (see my "what irked me today" that I just posted),sigh ...I'll get there,I have good support (wife and kids),and faith (BTW,I LOVE your sig )

Today as in it's 2:38am local time... So I was out taking my dog for her last walk of the evening a couple hours ago (about 12:15am),and I noticed that the young children of 1 of our neighbors was running around the neighborhood alone in the dark. The oldest (Jade) is only about 8 or 9 (she plays and rides bikes in the neighborhood with my son),and her little brother is barely old enough to walk, and there was another girl from down the street with them spending the night (they were just walking around, taking turns carrying the baby). When they saw me (knowing who I am,and knowing our dog well) they ran up to me and asked if I knew where their mommy was (I didn't),told me "she hasn't been home in over 2 hours, and when she left, she'd been drinking and everything for hours...". So I let her use my cell and her momma picked up the 3rd time she tried calling (probably wondering who's # that was on her caller ID),and Jade begged her to come home, and (despite calling the woman "momma") had to explain who she was. So I told them "go back inside your house, don't cook anything, don't get in the bath or shower, don't do anything in the kitchen with knives or ANYthing you know to be dangerous, keep close eye on Jason (the baby) and just turn on the tv on Cartoon Network, sit there and watch cartoons until either they get home or you fall alseep. I will sit out on my porch (where I can clearly see their house,it's just over a stone's throw away from mine) until your mommy or daddy (he's at work this time of night I think) come home, even if it takes all night. I will make sure no one can come in or bother you,and you can look out your window as often as you like to see that I'm still there watching over you. I will keep trying to call your mom too. If there's anything that goes wrong inside or if you guys get scared, you can come over there (my house) and I will wake up my son and wife". It wasn't but about 10 minutes later that their momma's raggety old Impala came hauling butt up the street (speed limit is 10MPH here, and it's strictly enforced with LOTS of kids playing every day,and people walking their pets, like I was doing, all hours of the night),sounding like all 1,500 watts were pumping through her cracked 15" subwoofers, got out and staggered into the house (Jade looked over and waved really big as she shut the door behind her drunk mamma, and I came back inside). Yes....I'm very (VERY) irked right now! WHAT in the WORLD gets into people?!?!? Those kids deserve better

Awesome,Wayne! Did decent today, not in bed yet but only smoked one half of 1 cig today A couple things (out of many) that pleased me today,my son (who'd drug around an dflunked 7th grade after discovering boobies,LOL) officially passed summer school with all 90+ socres, moves on to the 8th grade like he was supposed to,LOL! Also, the mailman delivered a pair of AMT Fruehauf trailer kits (flatbed and van kits),so now I have 8 tractors to build and three trailers to swap out amongst em Aside from those things,I'm always pleased when I wake up not dead, and the wife and kids (and dog) are still here, and it's still my own place that isn't the underside of a bridge .....I'm just a thankful kinda person who tries not take things for granted (I do get irked sometimes tho, just ask my wife )

Tom-I believe it,my friend (and if I'm not really careful,I'll become a fat used-to-smoker,LOL,with the munchie's I've had....more gum! ),and prayers being sent over your family/wife,my friend High Octane--LOL,I tried that stuff (Nicorette) the other time I tried to quit, nasty When I say I'm chewing gum,I mean Trident,LOL I did end up smoking 2 cigs today (used to smoke 25-40 per day),but as I sit here winding down for the night I have no cravings for "one before bed",so I'm counting it a good day despite slipping twice. On to tomorrow...

So far so good....chewed about 6 packs of (sugar free ) gum,but smoke free

Turned 42 today. My son must have spent more than a couple hours on a couple of awesome B-Day cards he made for me last night (with lots of his heart put into them). My daughter spent the 1st hour of her day with me,then when I went to go for a much needed (for health reasons,LOL,not because I was irked by anything* ) walk, she wanted to go,so we stopped and grabbed some bisucuits at Hardees and picnic'd them by the river before walking a couple miles. When the Wife got in from work,we enjoyed watching the sunset and then some favorite shows together,no splitting up 1 of us on th ecouch and the other on the internet this eve. A good day (*Just off a several week old-injury flare-up that had me barely walking on the cane for weeks, and the last 5-7 days or so I was having issues breathing--cigarette related,of course--so I really needed to get out and walk to both strengthen the hip damage and open up my breathing. FWIW,I'd had today marked on my calender for "quit day" for months, and tomorrow will be my first completely smoke-free day since,oh,about 1991 or so Been smoke free for about 9 hours now...can you tell,I keep rambling on and on and on and...... )

Well yours looks great, and I pulled several (1:1) very similar trailers during my OTR and region driving days. Just ordered one off eVilbay a few minutes ago,LOL,oing to semi-replicate a W900 and trailer I drove for 2 years with the pair (Revell 80's W900)
