  1. That is some fantastic paint work and a great overall model. oldscool
  2. Nice Bug and good job with the bumpers too.
  3. Welcome to the forum. Very nice setup. You have built the pickup just the way i like them and the 33 ford looks great. Show us some more of your work.
  4. That is one nice Mustang Drew. I built one of those when they were released and remember it being a very good kit and quite accurate for the time period. oldscool - night stalker
  5. Yeah, those 71 Mustangs were a big disappointment to me too. The 71 I have in my stash has the big fat 73 front bumper on top of everything else that is wrong about it. oldscool - night stalker
  6. This one just keeps getting better
  7. WOW! that is a great save Ron. Those wheels are perfect for it. Are they the old Monogram XKE wheels? oldscool
  8. I like this project and the weld beads. They would be useful on rat rod top chops. oldscool - night stalker

    Red Baron

What's up everybody? Haven't posted anything for a couple of months until last night due to starting a new job on the graveyard shift (there's a reason they call it the graveyard shift!) and getting sidetracked by airplanes. I like to switch back and forth to keep from getting burned out on one subject. Just finished this one and it brings back a lot of memories of the one I built as a kid. The chrome on the top was too damaged to save when I took it out of the box. So what you see is Testors metallizer aluminum plate from spray can. Turned out OK after the second try and looks more like the real show car this way. Body is brush painted with Model Master red acrylic. Brush painting worked on a body this small. Engine, seats and front axle are Acryl gloss black. Painted the scoop red because there was a bad seam in the two part scoop that had to be sanded. This is the first T bucket style rod I have built since I was a teen and I forgot how fiddly the suspension is on these things. Anyway, hope you like it. oldscool - night stalker
  10. Nice! color fits it very well.
  11. I have never seen this kit chopped and I have to say that is one of the best chop jobs I have ever seen! Nice paint too. oldscool - insomniac
  12. Any of the kits i built as a kid that were made by Palmer.
  13. I like that old kit too and your paint looks great. I remember making a mess of one when I was a teenager trying to chop the top using the part that came in the kit which required you to cut the top into four sections. oldscool
  14. Nice! you got the 70s look just about right. Maybe needs just a little smaller front tire IMHO. oldscool
  15. I like it! Show us a pic after you get the hood top on as I think that will really set it off.
  16. That is one wild altered! Did you scratch the leaf springs? oldscool
  17. Nice builds of the ugliest of all Impalas IMHO. That SS kit has to be one of the best snap kits ever. oldscool

    Jeeps

Those are nice Jeeps and lawn mowers. I like the military version too - nice weathering. oldscool
  19. Another one that brings back alot of memories! Fantastic plastic! oldscool
  20. Man does that bring back memories! And it looks just right too. All the old F/C kits needed lowering to look right and you nailed it! oldscool
  21. Very very good looking model! oldscool

    '74 RRUNNER

That is a beeyootiful Road Runner. Great job! oldscool
  23. Wow! What a great look If it were mine I would bob those rear fenders a bit to go with that sectioning job.
  24. Great build of one of AMTs best 90s era new tool kits. I built the predecorated version and had an issue with having to trim the front edge of the dash quite a bit to get the body to go all the way down. Did your kit have the same problem?
  25. Great lookin deuce! Those look like the wheels from the Revell highboy kit to me. Those whitewalls look just like alot of real ones I have seen.
