  1. I like that a lot!
  2. Oh yeah! Those wheels look great. Are you planning on using white letter decals on the tires?
  3. I'm planning on a bright red Randy. Things are going kinda slow right now because weather won't permit outdoor painting but I did get the engine brush painted with good old Testors enamel. While things are stalled I decided to play around with some different engines as this was brought up on the review thread. Here is the 1/24 small block from the Challenger T/A kit for anyone that is interested. It looks a little large but I wanted to try it because a few people thought the 1/25 small blocks looked too small. Also found that it won't go back far enough because it hits the front edge of the floor pan.
  4. How about the engine from the 1/24 Challenger T/A? I don't think it would look too small. Besides, a 340 six pack with two scoop hood would make an interesting Cuda.
  5. Looking better all the time.
  6. I'm thinking bright red with black interior at the moment with maybe a wheel change. Christmas isn't that far off now John.
  7. It does look much better with the rear glass in place.
  8. Both of them look great Terry. That kit builds up nice in spite of its problems.
  9. I like the front end and overall concept but to me the rear window opening just doesn't mesh.
  10. Great work so far Randy.
  11. Got started on mine after seeing Randy B's thread.Glued the major engine parts together after having difficulties with the Testors liquid cement being ineffective on the plastic. It didn't melt the plastic like it normally does and caused cracks to appear in a couple of places. I ended up using Testors in the black bottle with the hypodermic type tip and it seems to work OK. If you look closely at the pic you can see cracks in the part of the block that the timing cover mounts to. Randy B pointed out that there is no alternator bracket. Rather than scratch one like he did, I will use one from another kit. The one on the left is from the RB engine in the Hemi Dart kit and the one on the right is from the RB engine in the 68 Charger kit. I'm liking the one on the left myself. It may not be perfect but it looks better than the supplied part in the Cuda kit. What is interesting is that Revell chose to tool yet another iteration of the 426 Hemi. Between all of their 1/25 Mopar kits I count at least three different variations of Hemi as well as three different RB toolings.

  13. The bodies in these kits are kinda bad. Very thin and short shot around the edges. I ordered a replacement body for mine from Revell and it was just as bad as the first one. If you are going to use the chassis with a resin body then please disregard this post.
  14. Great job! This was as wild as Pro stock ever got.
  15. Shouldn't that be "ossifer"? LOL
  16. Commercial sales rep for a national auto parts chain. If I wasn't in the commercial side of the business,I wouldn't be able to stand it.
  17. Just wait until mine arrives.
  18. Most Pollyscale paint has this sheen when brushed on. I thin it with water and apply 3-4 thin coats. I usually overcoat it with Testors Dullcote but didn't this time
  19. It doesn't fold but comes with the option of having it up or down. I chose to have it down so that I could add the uptop if i want to.
  20. Thanks to all of you for the repiles.
  21. Thanks tom, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this kit was.
  22. It's an unarmed and unarmored car so I think it goes in this category. This is Field Marshall Bernard Montgomery's personal ride during the post Normandy invasion period of the war. Brush painted with Pollyscale and Humbrol military paints. Not a bad kit at all for it's age and heritage, just wish it was 1/25.
  23. I know about the rear end, but that's an easy swap with one from an AMT kit. I have a set of aftermarket Ketstones but they are 1/24. The only 1/25 Keystones I am aware of are the old AMT parts.
  24. Just got this kit at WalMart and opened it to find the wrong wheels in the box. It contains the Cragar S/S type wheels instead of the correct Keystones. Not possible to build a correct Sox & Martin car from the box. I don't get it, the original boxing had the correct wheels. The original mold must still be around.
