  1. That is a well done model and your foiling looks good even up close. Don't stop now, you are just getting good at it.
  2. I got all these last week but am just now able to post a pic.
  3. Holy guacamole! That is flawless.
  4. Great model of one of my all time favorite drag cars. I saw the car in this same configuration at the 71 Gatornationals.
  5. Thanks Tim, thats what I thought it came from.
  6. Weather permitting, I did my building on the roofed over patio outside. Indoors I just built on my bed.
  7. I just got this kit for a good price and I want to use the chassis to build a FED. What kit does the frame come from. I see some parts on the chrome tree that look to be from the Tommy Ivo FED. If anyone wants the body from this kit, I will gladly give it up.
  8. The 66-67 Imapalas certainly belong on the list and the 61 as well. I always thought the 61s looked so much smaller than other Impalas for some reason. IMO the shark bodied Vettes were the finest of the breed. The Solstice? No way. As for the Riv, I'll take the 66 over any of them.
  9. It does look that way but it is comparable in size to other 6-71s in 1/25 scale. I think the mag is located too far back on the engine which leaves an empty space behind the blower. Here's a pic of a real one:
  10. Very well done. Can't wait to see the next one.
  11. More of your excellent work. Looks fantastic!
  12. Here's a mockup of the body and chassis. Not sure about the scoop as it was poorly molded I sanded the sides completely flat to improve the fit.
  13. Oh yeah! That's what I'm talkin' about. The old Revell gasser kits aren't so bad once you get rid of the godawful wheels and the so called Ford SOHC engine.
  14. The body is Duplicolor GM medium blue metallic and the frame is MM Italian red laquer. Body is cleared with several coats of Future applied with a brush.
  15. My bench right now: Working on the Double Dragster Fiat and tried some different primers on the other engines that are in the pic.
  16. Don't forget to add the front plate.
  17. Beautiful work.
  18. I like it and that interior looks great.
  19. I never built the original issue, but I built whatever the current issue was in the mid 80s. Can't recall the box art on that one.
  20. One of the best builds of that kit I have ever laid eyes on! Great job.
  21. That explains why one of the headlights has a long pin on the back and the other two don't.
  22. Well...I was going for the old drag car/show rod look that was popular back then. I thought the decal sort of fit that theme. Doesn't it give it an Ala Kartish look?
  23. I have kinda lost interest in modelling in the last year or so due to fatigue and job related stress but now have a new job that is much less stressful and pays better. I hope to get back into things and become more active on the forums like I used to be (and maybe be a little less grouchy). Maybe I can finish the six WIPs I have been neglecting. Double dragster (both cars) 66 Chevy SS396 69 Camaro 58 Impala Mongoose RED 66 Riviera
  24. Want opinions on which would look better. Decal this way: or this way:
