  1. OK, I'll play.
  2. These kits have a beautiful period correct front and rear suspension.
  3. Outstanding! One of the best renditions of this kit I have ever seen.
  4. I like that a lot.
  5. I never expect a kit to be perfect but I do expect to purchase a quality product. My complaint isn't with accuracy but with poor quality control. I just opened my Rat Roaster kit to find chrome sprues that are not even fully covered by the plating and a fair amount of flash on them. I don't own an airbrush so I don't do Alclad.. I also opened my new 57 Ford kit to find good chrome but a badly warped chassis pan and a somewhat less warped frame. All of the Revell kits I purchase have some degree of warpage. Why does Revell go to the trouble and expense of turning out kits made from beautiful new tooling if quality control screws the pooch?
  6. Since we are on the subject of new Challenger kits, can the front fascia be installed before the chassis on the Revell kit?
  7. I remember one in this series called Che Riviera.
  8. Thanks for your reply Tim. I'm sure they aren't all this bad but I was so excited to see this kit that it was a real letdown when I opened the box.
  9. Both of them are nice builds
  10. I always liked the Wild Dream better than the King T also. I remember my uncle building these when I was a kid. He built the Wild Dream but gave up on the King T. Great job on both of them jb and I like your avatar.
  11. This car might be a candidate for Moebius
  12. I would be happy seeing any of the old stuff reissued. My main request is that they do a better job with the chromed sprues. Many of the kits have excessive flash on the chromed sprues and thick or lumpy plating as well as debris under the plating. Why isn't it possible to have the nice thin chrome plating that kits had back in the 60's?
  13. Some of you may be familiar with it but it's new to me.
  14. This was on the bargain book table for 9.97. Great ref pics as well as some good stories.
  15. I got mind from Hobbylinc.com yesterday. Very nicely done except for the chrome being full of trash that is under the plating. Round 2 quality control is not impressing me at all.
  16. I just got mine testerday from Hobbylinc.com and this is what it looks like. Not only do the side rails have a hump in them: But the chassis is badly twisted: I've had it with old MPC and AMT reissues. I get disappointed every time.
  17. Thanks for all the info everyone.
  18. I can see where they would be safer.
  19. I never see them on the road anymore.
  20. The pitch fork hood is also available from Modelhaus.
  21. Does this kit have the bone stock Mustang body like most of the old MPC funny cars?
  22. Here's my unfinished projects. Revell 66 Impala: Double Dragster Fiat: AMT 66 Riviera: Double Dragster: Mongoose RED: Happy New Year everyone
  23. I have sray painted in sub-zero temps and everything turned out fine. Just don't do it in high humidity conditions.
  24. I'm with you on this one Nick! I feel your pain brother man.
