  1. Looks great! grumpy gus
  2. Looks like you are doing some really good work there. grumpy gus
  3. I like it grumpy gus
  4. I agree - this one IS superb. Makes me think of Thunder Road. Now since the engine is already out put a caddy mill or an early hemi in it and run moonshine. grumpy gus
  5. One of the best Street Fighters I have ever seen . Nice paint. grumpy gus
  6. I love it grumpy gus
  7. Great looking Deuce! grumpy gus
  8. I bought the newest boxing of this kit a couple of months ago and just want to pass the word along that the molds are getting bad. The body is rough around the edges and the lower rear is actually missing some material. Doesn't look like a short shot just worn molds. However, it will still make a good looking Deuce roadster. grumpy gus
  9. Now that's a Deuce of a hearse, or is that hearse of a Deuce? Beautiful! grumpy gus
  10. Well keep cranking away on it. Looks killer. grumpy gus
  11. No problem here Brett. I uploaded the Rommels Rod pics about 10 mins ago. grumpy gus
  12. I built that kit years ago and it does have some great interior detail. All of the Monogram bombers were that way. Nice job. grumpy gus
  13. Here's mine done in Europeon theater colors. Still ned to finish the sleletons. When I'm done the driver will have his arm hanging out the door bad boy style. I am very tempted to add wide whites to the front tires. grumpy gus
  14. Started when I was five in 63 with an AMT split window Stingray. Built continuously until 74 when I got my first real ride and started the partying thing ( hey, it was Florida). Started back again in 86 with an AMT 1/16 65 Mustang and been at it ever since. grumpy gus
  15. You can get one in the Revell 50 Ford 2n1 pickup kit but it's not totally accurate. I think someone makes them in resin too. You can make the injection setup with parts from the AMT 53 Ford pickup Firedome engine as the Revell kit comes with three 97s. The curved stacks would probably have to be scratched. The magneto setup shouldn't be too difficult to piece together. grumpy gus
  16. I was hoping to see this one finished. Looks great! grumpy gus
  17. They look good enough for me and to my eye look better than the accurate ones. What I like about them is they are an exact match to the front openings. That is a trick the customizers used to do back in the 60s. grumpy gus
  18. Holy ######! What a great paint job! grumpy gus You are kidding me. I can't even say what Frank Barone says on TV without being censored?
  19. Nice everything on this one grumpy gus
  20. Thanks for the pics. Do you live in Jax? I lived there for 40 yrs until 2003. Wish I had never left. grumpy gus
  21. Now that's thinkin' with yer dipstick! ( some of the worst ads ever) grumpy gus
  22. This is looking better all the time . grumpy gus
  23. I like it. Love that chrome exhaust system . grumpy gus
  24. Had another day off today ( don't ya love the schedule that one has to work in the retail biz) so got some more done. Now have a rolling chassis: It's painted with Humbrol light gray aircraft color. The leaf springs and steering linkage is painted with Model Master nonbuffing gunmetal. The spindles and control arms are MM acryl semigloss black as are the rear shocks. Fuel tank is Humbrol aluminum. Also got the interior floor sprayed with Testors cheapest flat black: I ordered the M/T valve covers from Speed City and they look great in the pics on their site so the engine won't be done until I get them. I'm thinking about doing the roll bars in orange - what do you think? Keep in mind the car will be pearl white with the red and orange panels from the kit decals. Keep them Hemi Darts comin' boys, grumpy gus
  25. Oh I don't take the hobby that seriously. Just look at my builds . Maybe I used the wrong smiley. grumpy gus
