  1. Hasegawa makes one in 1/72 scale. Kinda small.
  2. Bingo! That's what I think in 95% of cases. Can't wait till I'm retired so I can build my butt off. oldscool the lonesome polecat
  3. You got that right! Does the driver come with it? oldscool the lonesome polecat
  4. That looks really nice MP. You picked a fitting color for it too. One small nitpick if I may - it doesn't look like the body is all the way down on the chassis to me. There shouldn't be gaps between the bumper mounts and body. oldscool the lonesome polecat
  5. Nice build. I never really cared for these cars though. To me they have a feminine look about them. oldscool the lonesome polecat
  6. Yeah Chuck, it's the new 2n1 reissue . I'm not going the "as delivered" replica route with it but will do it as a personalized race car the way I would like to have one. oldscool the lonesome polecat
  7. Great work so far. oldscool the lonesome polecat
  8. You sir are fearless. oldscool the lonesome polecat
  9. Man that is one great paint job! Looks like the classic "20 coats of hand rubbed black laquer" jobs that used to be in the magazines. oldscool the lonesome polecat
  10. This is my first car build since I did the 50 Ford pickup awhile back. Got both engines painted as I will use the other one in something eventually. Also cleaned up the body and got rid of the emblems and front marker lights and remembered the antenna base and the badge on the trunk. Cutting out the rear wheel openings was a piece of cake by scribing them from the inside with an Exacto blade. Think I'm going with pearl white on this one and use the kit decal panels with a flat black hood. After building a couple of planes building a car is like coming home again. oldscool the lonesome polecat
  11. Yeah,I can relate to your story. Sadly, from the mid-70s to the early 90s was the worst period for American cars. I refer to it as the "rubber nosed junk era".
  12. NASCAR has turned into a little made for TV game which no longer is real racing and it will wind up causing the demise of the NASCAR entirely.
  13. Yes, thank you Dave. Makes sense.
  14. I kind of thought so but the kit has a stock bellhousing.
  15. I discovered this forum in 2010 and it was one of the highlights of the year. The year also saw many great new Revell releases that I now have in the stash. Those are pretty much the only good points of the whole year for me. On the down side, I went through 2 lousy min wage jobs and my like new truck was totalled by a hit and run driver while going to work. That job cost me much more than it was worth. On top of that, the response from the cop was "if you find out who did it let us know" so there was no investigation at all. The area that it happened in is so bad that I am afraid to go looking on my own. Anyway, here's hoping 2011 will be a better year.
  16. Wouldn't the 4 speed cars have explosion proof shields rather than the stock bellhousings. I think it would have been an NHRA requirement. Yes?....no?.
  17. Butler: Oh my lord, you must arise. Her Ladyship's in congress with a scoundrel. His Lordship: Get my fowling piece from above the mantle.....BANG!....AAAAAAAGH! Butler: Oh my Lord, always the sportsman you are! You caught him on the rise!
  18. Nice batch of Mopars Dan
  19. I work at a retail store (not Walmart!) and it saddens me to see how much people allow themselves to be stressed out by Christmas. Even though all the commercialism helps to keep me in a job, I wish we could get back to the true meaning of the holiday.
  20. I'm very sorry to hear some of the sad stories you all have told. And I thought I had it bad what with working a crappy 8.00 an hour job and trying to survive on my own.
  21. Get a ring binder and some of those clear plastic sleeves that you put sheets of paper in and keep all of your decals in there. Makes it easy to find the ones you are looking for as well as keeping them flat and dry.
  22. Wow Marcos! That is one beautiful Dart B)
  23. Welcome Rob and you picked a good time to join us. Show us some pics of your stuff.
  24. Man that looks fantastic!
