  1. I love the blanket!:)But don't you now have a 1/24 cab with a 1/25 bed? It looks good in the pics anyway. oldscool
  2. That's a great model! Love it! oldscool
  3. They all look like award winners to me. That Barry Setzer car is particularly nice. oldscool
  4. Now that's what I'm talkin' about! That looks like a proper CTH Chuck. Well Done! oldscool
  5. I know what you mean Curt. Besides doing the Fiat as Walts Puffer, I cant decide how to build the dragster. I will go with two engines but don't know whether to go side by side or inline. oldscool
  6. That's what I was wantin' to hear. oldscool
  7. Man, that looks really good! I remember this kit being one of the most popular in my neighborhood when it first came out. oldscool

Looks great and I like the black grille. oldscool
  9. Thanks for the replies everybody. I wanna build it as the unchopped version just like in the 1959 pic. oldscool
  10. Wow! This one has generated more discussion than the Chi Town Hustler kit. I for one can't wait for this kit to come out. I don't see anything wrong with the chop. But then, I don't see anything wrong with the chop on the 49 Merc either. In the real customizing world each builder has a different style and a different idea of how a chop should look so IMHO it's not a bad chop, it's just a particular style of chop. Mines going to get a SOHC 427 if I can make it fit. oldscool
  11. Pretty doggone nice. I like itB) oldscool
  12. I'm with you on that statement. I built the 2006 GT kit and it is one of the best fitting and best engineered kits I have ever built except for the ride height. oldscool
  13. Be careful with that chrome. The two kits that I own have chrome that will rub off when you handle it. Before I build the second one I will spray the chrome sprue with clear gloss. oldscool
  14. Body prep is ALWAYS worth the extra effort and it looks like it paid off very well for you;). With a clear coat that paint will look fantastic. oldscool ( not always practicing what I preach)
  15. M y O ld P ig A int R unnin' F orget O ut R unnin' D ale (obviously an older NASCAR joke) G otta M echanic C omin' H op O n N D rive A _ _ hole I know some more but they would be offensive to some of our members. oldscool
  16. Man that is great! I love the 2 stroke Gran Prix bikes. I've got to try building one of those some day. oldscool
  17. Can an accurate Walts Puffer be built from the box? Just askin' since the decals are already there although I have my doubts about the colors. I know the kit was based on this car but how close is it OOB? oldscool

Coming along great:). You don't need no stinking drill bit to do plug wires in the heads, just do it like we did in the old days and heat up a needle and stick it through the plastic. A little clean up with the tip of a #11 blade and badaboom. oldscool
  19. I'm likin' watcha got goin' on! B)That firewall would look good if you went ahead and painted it white. Great color:). oldscool
  20. The scallops are kit decals applied between coats of clear. Getting them on was like picking the fly poop out of pepper:P. I will most likely go with the moons as open steelies have been done to death in the last few years. oldscool
  21. I finally got back to this one after finishing the 56 Belair. Here's some mockup pics. Keep in mind that nothing is glued in place on the body so alignment is a little off and it will sit a tad lower when the body is finally glued to the chassis. I haven't decided whether to go for the moons or open steelies yet. They both look great to me. Hope you like it, oldscool
  22. That just looks like a heavily airbrushed drawing to me. I wouldn't use it for reference myself but thanks for adding it to the thread. oldscool
  23. Two beautiful models of the two most beautiful top fuelers ever built. K and C also had a nice Pinto F/C. oldscool
  24. The Mustang is nice but I'm diggin' that 48 Ford! oldscool
  25. That's not a Charger, that's a full size Chrysler. oldscool
