  1. The Alpine A110 rally car is the one I want. I was very loyal to AMT and MPC in my younger days. oldscool
  2. Hey Zipper, looks like you got your moneys worth out of that one:D. I don't like to quote pics but I can't figure out how to exclude them from this post. Have been able to in the past. oldscool
  3. That looks awesome! From back when most offroad vehicles had a military look to them. oldscool
  4. If this is true, it is not acceptable. How many times have you had this problem with Tamiya kits? Me NEVER.
  5. Quality is more consistent than it was in the 80s-90s. I used to get a lot of kits from both companies that had poor chrome plating and warped bodies and chassis. The chrome has gotten much better recently. oldscool
  6. Well spank me and call me Sally. You are correct sir! Guess I should have test fitted before I had a fit:lol:. Shows that I'm not much of a Chevy builder. oldscool ( hiding face in shame)
  7. Just looked through my 62 Impala kit and found this: There is also excessive flash on one of the chrome sprues for a new tool kit with only one production run on the molds. Some might say i am being too picky, but with the price of new tool kits being what they are we should get better quality control. Almost every Revell kit that I have bought in the past year has required me to use their parts replacement service for at least one part. oldscool
  8. Very well done. oldscool
  9. It's basically an unassembled promo as a lot of old AMT and Johan kits were. The lettering on the chassis was there to advertise the features of the 1/1 car. oldscool
  10. As I understand it, the new Rommels Rod was reverse engineered from an old kit. oldscool
  11. Oh how I wish I could afford one of these . Are the metal parts in the pics included or did you add those. Great work by the way. oldscool
  12. Don't forget ERTL oldscool
  13. Yeah, I wanted them too as well as the full 6 carb Y-block motor. oldscool
  14. Doggone it, I was hoping for the original wheels and tires instead of the knobby Rally GTs. oldscool
  15. It's a shame that such idiots would hack a harmless model website.( and these people wonder why we don't like them )but kudos to the MCM staff for getting it back up so quickly oldscool
  16. Does anyone know if this AMT 32 Vicky kit that is listed on Model Roundup have the same street rod parts as the original kit? . I know the wheels are different on the box art but was just wondering what is inside. oldscool
  17. I like where you're going with this one . Made me think of the old Big Willy Robinson flip front Daytona drag car. oldscool
  18. Strange huh? oldscool
  19. Sorry Davezinn but my kit definetly does not have Keystone Classics in it. It is the boxing with the ugly yellow and black car on it. oldscool
  20. It's the same kit except for the wheels. Th S&M kit has Keystone classics like the real car and the 2n1 kit has what looks similar to Cragar S/S wheels. Watch the bodies in these kits as every one I have seen has a caved in top. oldscool
  21. That is a perfect mild custom. Very well done! oldscool
  22. I did mine this way, although I started with the street machine kit and not an original Badman. Still haven't finished the exhaust. oldscool
  23. They came in several of the old 60s AMT kits. oldscool
  24. Looks great Curt! I was also knocked out when I saw it in R&C. oldscool
