  1. Looks great. It's been so long since I heard the name L A Hooker that I forgot this one existed. Thanks for the memory. oldscool
  2. GM did use red primer at least on the chassis for several years. I followed the buildup of the Muscle Car Review magazine 62 Chevy and it had factory red primer on the bottom. I know the tri - fives did also. oldscool
  3. Beautiful Race cars looked so much better before they went to sponsor paint schemes. oldscool
  4. Nice. I never knew there was such a car oldscool
  5. Mighty fine model oldscool
  6. Looks great! oldscool
  7. Another nice one oldscool
  8. Fantastic build! oldscool
  9. Beautiful work Those old front engined cars were sooo much better looking than the modern rails. Keep them coming For a while I thought the drag racing forum was going to die but you are bringing it back to life along with John Teresi. oldscool
  10. That's a beautiful model with beautiful paint and as long as I got to see it, it doesn't matter to me who posted it. One of the best body styles of all time. oldscool
  11. I'm really diggin this one Wayne It's a perfect companion to my 55 Chevy gasser in red oxide primer. oldscool
  12. Very cool rod oldscool
  13. Oh yeah! You can't go wrong with a candy red Deuce. oldscool
  14. Two beautiful builds of another one of Revells best kits. Nice work! oldscool
  15. I like to use .177 cal pellets to put super glue in when you need just a small amount. Just squeeze a little into the hollow side of the pellet and throw it away when you are done. Dip it out with a toothpick or what ever you like to use to apply it. Of course this won't work with the pointy nosed ones oldscool
  16. Welcome to the forum and welcome to the golden age of car modelling. The stuff that is available now is miles ahead of what we had to work with in the 70s. oldscool
  17. I tend to believe that people with that type of mentality just have an overall erratic and unstable lifestyle to begin with. And if they go away it's probably a good thing. oldscool
  18. Now that the red oxide bomb is almost done, I got back to the Shelby. All that's left is underhood details and exhaust pipes. This one started going downhill right near the end. I did a sloppy job on the windshield trim and got glue on the windshield while putting the mirror on . Haven't got glue on a window since I was a kid . This paint really sparkles in the sun . Next pics will be in under glass. oldscool
  19. Holy Moly! That makes greased lightnin from the movie Grease look tame. oldscool
  20. Looks good to me oldscool
  21. Fantastic job! This is one of my holy grail cars along with their 71 Cuda. oldscool
  22. Oh yeah! I'm diggin this one Always thought the 70 was the most brutish looking of all Roadrunners. Especially with big slicks on the back. oldscool
  23. Man that looks great! I love these kits and especially that "mailbox" scoop. oldscool
  24. Here are the last WIP pics before she goes to Under Glass. Got the hood and scoop done. The scoop is supposed to look like a homemade tin one that is pop riveted on. Here's a look at my cobbled together firewall which isn't great but it looks better than what I started with. Still needs a master cylinder. Next one is a little out of focus but the chrome ladder bars show up nicely. I wanted to leave a little chrome on the chassis so the bottom wouldn't appear all black. Noticed that all my other pics are of the drivers side so I took pics of the other side this time just to show that I'm not hiding anything. Now on to the Shelby and 50 Ford pickup. oldscool
  25. Looks great! oldscool
