  1. I'm not careless, I have not shown a inability to handling power tools at all in the past or even now. I work with using power tools along side all my friends mostly.. including chain saw's as well. I know chainsaws are no joke at all and very dangerous as well and serious stuff can happen with them when a person doesn't handle them right or when they get snag or hit something. As for my age I am 32 years old.
  2. Yea, probably in his book, there would be a law on that as well or some where he heard or seen it on tv about a law on that too.
  3. The same here about hearing anything about such a law. I think he is just making it up is all..
  4. As in to what people on here says about him. Because I know sometimes family members gets mad at people when people talks about there family members. That's why I said what I did for so everyone on here knows I will not get upset.
  5. Yes, Pennsylvania is correct, and yes please do ask if you like to.
  6. Yep, I'm being seriously. About the question you asked me, he would probably say that he also seen on tv (Just after you ask him about that) about a law about that as well that he seen and heard on tv knowing him! LOL
  7. Now that I can fully understand. All he has to do is just come out and say "Jim, I am not going to lend you the saw due to liability issues" but to make up stuff.. and now with this suppose law he speaks about that he claims he saw on tv (just after we spoke the other day). I really like to know if one does exist or not.
  8. Okay guys, now I have a question for you all that I was told by my cousin today when I ask him if I could barrow his chain saw for afew days to cut some firewood. He look at me and told me "I can't lend you the chain saw, or any power type saw as there is a law on that as I just seen it on tv the other night". Now here is the thing, and I know we have some law in enforcement personal on this site. I want to ask this.. is he telling me the truth or he just flat out lieing to me? He told me to ask people online about it as well and to look it up. Just so you all know alittle about what lend up to this is the other day I asked him if I could barrow his chain saw for afew days to cut wood (Monday Oct 8 2012 , I asked him) and then today (Friday Oct 12 2012 , he tells me this). That he was watching the tv last or the other night and saw where there is a law about people loaning chain saws or any type of power type saw out to anyone. I think he is flat out lieing to me plane and simple. Reason why I say that is because each time I ask him something or about something it seems later that night he sees the same kind of issue on tv about a law on this or that about the said issue.. I find it very very hard to believe about each time. Yea maybe one time once in a blue moon I could say yea he's right.. but each time almost and it's always after we start discussing something or I ask him that he see's a simpler issue of it on tv! I want your input on the issue and I will not have no hard feelings at all either.
  9. After watching him build his recent one, and also after watching him also build a few other ones this year. I was wondering, how would I go about finding his older build project threads on here? Can someone post links or something? I really admire his talent and a few others on here also as to how they build their models.
  10. You are correct, there is no correct General Lee orange. Believe it or not but back in the day when WB was building the cars they just used what ever color orange they had on hand at the time a General Lee was being built. If they didn't have enough of one orange color and yet had afew different orange colors but not enough of each orange color to make a General in that color, they would just take all the little orange colors they had very little of and just pure them all into one gallon andmix all those oranges into one orange color and then paint the cars that day in the shop in that orange. The most used color of General Lee's was 1975 GM Flame Red by Acme though, BUT NOT the only color orange though used!
  11. Nickle.. looks more like what you would see on the real deal.
  12. I'm not shure if this has been posted before or not, so if it was, please for give me. But I have found another way of making a valve stem other then taking sprue and heating it up and pulling it apart and starching it is to go to you local dollar store or fabric store, go to the cloth pin area, and look for the all metel pins that are in the small black plastic boxes with the clear lids on. Some places they want 2.00 where some places only wants 1.00 for a box of them. They at mostly 1,000 in a box depending on what box size you get. Anyways to make a valve stem, you need is a needle nose pliers and your hand and small drill bit and wire cutters. Just take the head of the pin and place it in your needle nose pliers and using your other hand and being careful, just bend the pin downwards. BUT hold the pin head very very firmly in the pliers though! It can slip out very very easy if not hold hard enough. It can cut you as well if it slips out (remember there is a needle point at the other end of it). Take the rim you are working on and using the drill bit, drill a small hole just the same size of the pin rod in the rim. Now take the wire cutters and cut the rod down to size. Then easy fitted through the hole in the rim you drilled and if you can counter sink the hole alittle for the needle head to rest in. Once the pin is in place in the rim just add alittle glue to the head area and also smear the glue over the sides of the head as well making shure the head is covered all around. Leave the glue set up and also make sure the valve stem is also facing the same way you want it to be as well before the glue sets up and drys. You can use any glue you like. I use superglue for all my stuff though.. but that's just me though. To make side markers for the older cars like the Road Runners and '68 Chargers with round side markers, just take and drill a small hole through the fender area, take the cloths pin and drill out alittle of the head on it, take some Amber orange or transparent red, and dab a small amount into the drill out hole area. This will give the head that marker light effect like the real cars back then had. You can place the pin head into the fender area and install and glue the back side with any kinda of glue you like to use (again I use superglue) but epoxy works great as well on this stuff too.
  13. I think afew minutes of silence should be given here.. It's a very nice model there that you built and a very nice tribute as well.
  14. Joey, you mention you build bikes for a living? In a way so to speak, the process of building a model car is the same way, but only in way smaller scale is all. Just use the same steps like you would in real life for in the modeling world as well. For myself, I always primer everything, and the glues I use is Super Glue and Future Glue which is a Crazy Glue as well.
  15. I would just mark out on the line how big the "T" would be and how far in you want the lines to go in the "T" fitting to. Then cut the center piece out and fit the T fitting into place. Plus can i ask, what about the cliper bleeders? I don't see any.
  16. Talk about rain! Was starting to put the frame together when the rain decided to come through the area.. The middle cross members piece that will cut down and used to make the cross members joints. I will go back after all is done and clean up the solder.
  17. Did some more work on the frame, truth be told, I'm kinda new to soldering LOL. So I'm learning real fast with this project. Anyways had one mishap with the rear plate, had to make a new one, the other one was to small. So the new one was a tad bigger which I trim down to size. Here is the rails.. The rear cross plate in the making..
  18. Hi Randy, first off, thanks for the kind words. 2nd My friend wanted this model to look realistic as possible. I got thinking last month after I looked at the original kit radiator that it didn't look good at all and wouldn't work with the project either. So I knew I could make a better looking one for the project. But 2 weeks ago after I got looking at all the stuff my friend had gotten for on the project most of the stuff is alittle heavy you can say, I knew the plastic frame would not due for this either. But rest of the kit will though. Seeing as how I am good at scratch building stuff, and kinda new to soldering I figure why not try to build a frame that was heavier and can with stand weight as well. tubing is what I had on hand so that is what I choze to work with. LOL
  19. Open up the front ends just like the original kit plastic frame is.
  20. Hi you all, well I been working at cutting the main frame rail pieces out and building them..
  21. Mostly I would say nice work..... BUT.... on the build I can't say "nice" as I would be lieing.... I have say this is a great build and I love the detail work that is put fourth so far in this project. Please keep the progress photos coming!
  22. I'm not sure what happen, but it seems that the other day on the forum here (I will not say where at) that someone posted to me, and I replied back.. and then someone else by them self's replied back talking very rude to me (but I didn't reply back to them). Anyways I would like to step up to the plate here and make an a apologize to anyone that I might have offended (which I don't think I did) if I did. Plus i would also like to apologize to you all as well for what that other member said to to me. Thank you all.
