  1. 40 years ago there was a 55 Chevy with a 440 Mopar engine in it around here. A friend of mine bought it and swapped in a 396 and resold it. He said it was just too wrong to let it be that way. I remember a 65 Mustang with a 327 in it too. Things like this get built. Glad to see it returning to the streets.
  2. A 30 degree low tonight with 40 MPH winds so the wind chill is way down there. It still can't stay above freezing here.
  3. Aha, cleats should do OK on ice......
  4. There's a lot of talent in that group.
  5. A lot of T's today are built from a collection of parts and carry the year of the the chassis or engine block, and are far than correct.
  6. How safe is the area where the show is held?
  7. You have seen newer cars, the early cars were just the ones pictured above. The vertical windshield came in with the metal cowl. And even the newer cars had hinged glass.
  8. It barely got above freezing today, and was nasty grey and drizzling. 2 days until April, and about a month before testing at the 500 track starts.
  9. The Lindberg stock 64 Dodge and Plymouth kits have a nice one, it's not in the race car versions.
  10. With the front doors on the touring! Those didn't come until later models
  11. The AMT kits are much later T's, nothing like these have ever been kitted in 1/24 scale
  12. Or a couple of months........
  13. The temp was just below freezing all day from a low of 19, and it snowed most of the day as it melted off just as fast as it came down. The low tonight will be 14 degrees. Spring? I don't think so.
  14. I knew a guy (R.I.P.) that built a real one back in the early 80's when you could still buy old 45 engines cheap. He called it a "Lawn-glide"
  15. Snow is in the next few days forecast, but I don't expect any thing shovel ready. Highs all next week in the mid 30's, lows in the mid 20's. last Thursday was the first day of still winter, Anyone know where I can buy snow tires for a Harley?
  16. All next week has highs in the 30's and lows in the 20's. What is this "spring" you speak of?
  17. Rust got mine, I scraped it and kept the engine (4 bolt main 350) for some future use.
  18. We are getting one good day a week, why can't it be during the weekend?
  19. My old 77 Chevy pickup did over 300.000, anything built in the last 20 years should do that or more. Keep your service up.
  20. Give a man a fish and he will eat for one meal, teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer for the rest of his life.
  21. The trailers were more than enough for me, I'll stay home and find something to do .
  22. I think you got the only one mailed.
  23. Looks like I'll be there but without anything to show.
  24. Some of us are still getting it. 28 degrees right now and it won't get much warmer today.
  25. I found a lot of nice models in the show but the swap meet was slim pickings for us car guys.
