  1. Believe me, I know how cops can be, around here they get drunk and kill people and don't even loose their jobs. But sometimes "Not hurting anybody" can get someone killed.
  2. Here in Indiana you can be stopped for window tint at any time, The law has something to do with % of tint. And the guy that pulled out in front of my brother told the cop he didn't see a Ford Thunderbird with its lights on because of his window tint! It was at sunrise on a clear stretch of state highway.
  3. My brother was nearly killed by a guy with tinted windows who "didn't see him".
  4. Can't pull a 4 ton trailer with a Preius.
  5. Its just attention hounds forcing you to look their way. Next thing you know they will be walking down the street with their pants down. OH, too late.
  6. I was with you Terry, just at a different strip a few states away! So far I have seen Modified sport cars (M/SP) Competition Roadsters, street freaks, Altereds, and a few Gassers. All are very nice models, but only a few true gassers. It's kind of like every altered wheelbase car called an A/FX..
  7. Next show and swap I know of is in Indianapolis in mid March, an IPMS event.
  8. I still say you can't put junk together as cheaply as you can buy a good USED factory built compressor.
  9. Garage sales, pawn shops, flea markets,...... You guys don't know how to live cheap.
  10. I bought a Sears 5 hp compressor at a yard sale for $20, you can't build junk for less than that.
  11. I was into the street scene / cruising thing in the early 70's to mid 70's, and those W-block Chevys were long gone allready, even then.
  12. 70's budget build? As boring as it sounds, small block Chevy, that's about the only engine used in any swap back then.
  13. Guess it depends on what era your model is suppose to be built in, 50's, 60's or today. Anything from a flathead to a Viper V10 can be made to fit with work.
  14. OK, that explains it, Mike passed on at a young age. Modelhaus got at least one of his masters / molds, so who knows.....
  15. Someone cast that one years ago, before I'd ever heard of resin. I'm a buyer if its done again.
  16. Looks great, just tell everybody it's a stripe delete car !
  17. The roof is the same, it's the rear glass and the molding below it that are different.
  18. It couldn't have been easy to build a cowl for both a tilt front and open doors, have any close up picts?
  19. Thank you! Someone needed to say the truth.
  20. Corvette convertibles are generally referred to as roadsters although only the 53 to 55 models were true roadsters. True roadsters can have a top, but no roll up side windows, and use side curtains,
  21. Jo-Han super stock max wedge headers would be nice, along with fenderwell headers for gassers.
  22. These early 'Vettes look best with the top down, but if you want to build a race car the hardtop is needed.
  23. The body side sculpturing, check the front fenders, thats where its most obvious.
  24. I think I'll get a second kit and stretch them myself. I was going to do the floor in wood so its not an issue. Thanks for the info guys!
  25. Yes, please do, it looks great!
