  1. I hope Fiat's quality and dependability have improved in the last 35 years. I worked at a Fiat dealership in the mid 70's and those things wouldn't run long enough to unload them from the transports.
  2. Heres how one talented modeler did one. http://public.fotki.com/Zelkam/stock/1955-chevrolet-stat/
  3. I haven't built it yet, but I have an AMT 62 (63?) Nova wagon craftsman kit that is going to get a full detail rebuild with the chassis from the 66 kit.
  4. My grandkids do, and its more of a problem in the trunk.. Can't drive over 70 on the slab, and 55 anywhere else anyway.
  5. I would never switch a street car to drum brakes, but at the strip disc brakes drag, drums don't. The solid rear axle is much stronger with big HP. IRS is not a selling point on a street car to me, it takes a lot of interior room.
  6. Back in the 70's I helped a friend of mine change his 65 Corvette to a solid rear axle, and we put drum brakes on it too. We were drag racers, and thats what works. I also owned a 69 Camaro, and pulled the 350 out and put a 427 in it. If I still owned it it would have a 572 crate motor in it so I'm not the one to ask who needs a 650 HP car. I can also say my Nephew's GT 500 is a real blast to drive!
  7. Nope, just put it away and grab another kit, and pick it back up later.
  8. Build your first / favorite car CBP. Ugly car CBP. Redneck ride CBP. Just a few.
  9. Still around.
  10. Very nice, thanks for sharing!
  11. motorcityresincasters dot com . contadt info on site.
  12. I've got a hundred un-started Mopar projects, this might be a reason to build a couple.
  13. 60's rock, jazz if its not too "lite" or "modern", mostly blues. (I play blues harp)
  14. My first car is out in the garage, 41 years now.
  15. Actualy it was about .35.9 cents a gallon.
  16. I can remember Testors 1/4 OZ bottles for 15 cents, and buying Pactra because it was only a dime !
  17. I remember it being about $50 ten or more years ago. (and worth it)
  18. Its more involved than that, but yes, earlier Model T's can be built from the AMT 25 T kit. There are resin parts to do some 1915s.
  19. I'm with Harry, if thats the kit its nice.
  20. I have one of those so I can dig it out to answer specific questions if needed, but I can tell you it is a very basic kit, you would most likely need to kitbash a better chassis and scratch build an interior. The body is stock (may have a hole in the hood) and looks right to me.
  21. Let's see one cranky-headed !
  22. I haven't seen one in a showroom or on the road in years.
