  1. I think steering someone onto a better kit is helping them.
  2. MCM, SA, Collectible Automobile, Hemmings Classic Cars, Hot V.W.'s I quit buying Cars and Parts when they started doing non-stock cars. Does anyone know of an old school rod mag without all of the sleazy tattooed girls?
  3. I started one many years ago, did the bodywork on the nose and fender extensions, and threw it back in the box when Revell anounced the new Pro Modeler kit. It's out in the garage somewhere. It can be made to look good with a lot of work and a better chassis, but there is a much better kit out there.
  4. Know the diferance between a hybrid driver and an SUV driver? The SUV driver isn't mad that the hybrid driver didn't buy an SUV.
  5. You will be disapointed, this kit has a chrome 36 HP with old school dual carbs, and the bag o snakes exaust.
  6. Well, the new kits MUCH better, but the old box art wins hands down!
  7. Wayne, that Skips 55 is the old revell kit being discused above, just a newer release.
  8. Updating AMT's 60 could be done.
  9. From an old guy that has built that kit, do yourself a favor and a model that looks like the two in that box art......from the NEW Revell kit!
  10. I was being sarcastic, showing how Revell could screw up the 70 'Cuda a third time AND a new Challenger too! I'm convinced Revell will never get this one right, but I hope they prove me wrong if they try it again.
  11. No PE that I know of, I have used silver dry transfer letters from the model rail road section before, they are actually thick enough to look 3-D.
  12. Or plan ahead and do the chassis half way between them and "Adjust" both half way!
  13. The AMT kit is your choice if you want a stock roof, it still builds up nicely. Dullcoat, or flat clear will fix those shiny bumpers!
  14. Resin builders spend that (and more) all of the time, get used to it or stay on the porch. If Revell wouldn't change the 69 Charger bodys side marker lights to do the 68, I doubt they will change the front end to do a 70.
  15. Junkman, the old Monogram '71 isn't bad, but it's an ancient simplified kit, and it's 1/24 scale which severely limits kit bashing. The '70 AAR 'Cudas are based on the old Monogram 70 Dodge Challenger kit, which has the short comings of the '71 Cuda kit, but adds an inaccurate wheelbase, and the body has been "adjusted" to fit the longer wheelbase. It looks WRONG from every angle to me. The old MPC 1/25 kits look right but are RARE !
  16. So, where can we find the old Olds / Pontiac rear axles? I'm gona need a bunch!
  17. Yes there was a 58 Nomad, but it was a 4 door wagon it top trim level, not a special 2 door.
  18. Resin kits cost more and require a donor kit. 1974 Dodge Monaco "Blues Brothers" cop car. 1/25 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda, modern era 1/25 tool, AAR, Hemi, R/T, any version first with modified reissues. 1956 Chevy Belair 2 door sedan, from the Revell Del ray tool. 1957 Chevy Nomad, from the new Revell tool. 1969 Camaro "Grumpy's Toy" pro Stock, Revell again.
  19. Its listed for a January 2012 release.
  20. Don't call it a HEMI = don't pay Chrysler royalties. If you look at it, you know what it is.
  21. Yes! I need a little one to go with my 1:1 out in the garage. I've owned it 41 years now.
  22. I wouldn't give a nickel for an OCC bike if I had to actually ride it. But I'm a bagger type of guy anyway.
  23. Prius owners wouldn't be half as bad if they would stop complaining about what everyone else chooses to drive.
  24. Yes, but who has one to cast?
