  1. Equipment violation tickets on bikes that were legal in their home state, loud pipe tickets on bikes with stock exaust and aren't even running, tickets for loitering while waiting at a red light, ect.........
  2. I quit going years ago, the cops are rediculous.
  3. We will all end up riding mo-peds and bicycles while they ride in limos, just like other third world countrys before it's over.
  4. And the economy went into the dumpster and never came back.
  5. Just payed $4.18.9, cost me $23.00 to fill up. my BIKE !
  6. I attended an IPMS show yesterday and was looking at a verry impressive aircraft carrier when I noticed it was paper.
  7. About sums it up for me, except I havn't owned a V8 in years. Oil companies make 8% on gasoline, the goverment gets 15% and calls the oil companies gready. I still drive no more than I have to when the price is up, sorry retailers.
  8. My bet is after the first of the year, delays always happen.
  9. My hobby budget has been very limited for 3 years, this can't help. I plan on riding my motorcycle as much as I can, rain or shine because it gets about 50 MPG. I also go nowhere I don't have to to keep my miles down. Sadly this includes trips to the hobby store.
  10. I have a Chevette promo and yes, it will be a project someday.
  11. I saw one of those in yellow yesterday at the Indy IPMS swap meet for $65. about the same as a good resin kit. I would have bought it and cut it up if I'd had the bucks.
  12. I have never had good results from an airbrush, they are flat more trouble than they are worth. It could be that I use actual automotive paint which is "high build", I have used an automotive touch up gun for 25 years, the same one I started with.
  13. Thats a "B" body, the 64 Dart was an "A" body, completely differant cars.
  14. I made it, took my grandson who has the attention span of a gnat, So I didn't get to really see the contest models, anyone get pics?
  15. The 64 was a 2% car (wheelbase change limited to 2% of the wheelbase) , the wild cars were 65's. Ten inches forward in the front, 15 in the rear if my memory serves me.
  16. Another great thing ruined by time and progress. ( the new cars, NOT the S,W,&C car.)
  17. MCM is at Barnes and Nobles?
  18. I always make it, the show turnout is always loaded with cars, especialy fpr an IPMS show. I find the swap meet low on automotive models thoe.
  19. Art Anderson has a lot of info on Indy cars, may be able to help.
  20. A great model car mag did an artical on Hubley kits a while back, and told the history of this kit. I can't remember what issue, maybe someone else will post that info.
  21. Modelhaus has them in resin, but no photos on their site.
  22. Welcome to car modeling! Now for the not so good news, the Revell kit you mentioned is the closest kit to your subject, the convertable is not done as a mainstream kit. You can cut the roof off of the hardtop and use a few parts (top boot, visors, dog legs, ect) from the Revell 69 Camaro kit, and cutting down the rear seat will need done too. A resin transkit MAY be advailable from the aftermarket. You can do this subject, but not out of one box.
