  1. Dave or Jairus or anyone else---------------- Do you have any idea of how to contact them? BTW Dave, I LOVE YOUR SITE!!!!!!!!!
  2. Thanks Jairus!!!
  3. Jairus, Do you know if any resincaster ever took you up on the hint way back when you did a Drawing of a '50 Ford COE in that old issue of Car Modeler, (guess I'm giving away what I'm buying on ebay these days). I love looking over those old issues because they are brand new to me.Still gotta find about half of them. If you or anyone else knows of a source for a conversion '50Ford COE cab Please let me know. I want to build a "50 Ford COE cement mixer that I found on the box top of a photo puzzle. If I can get my scanner to work i'll post a pic. This thing is way cool (for a cement mixer)
  4. I had to go to the hardware today to get the stuff to fix a leaking faucet. When I got the repair kit for my Peerless/Delta faucet I noticed that they still put both types of springs in the pak. All of the new faucets use the short tapered springs where the old(and I mean really old) style uses a straight coil spring that looks to just about perfect for 1/25 cars and trucks. If you know a plumber, they may have several pair of these springs you could whine for. But the whole repair kit was only $1.59 PS the best part is they are made of Stainless Steel so they will look good for a long time to come.
  5. Gregg we modelers are like Hot Rodders( the original recyclers)., we don't throw anything that looks remotely like it is "in scale" away! Maybe you could do a resurrection articile one day on this one.
  6. Gregg, I have trying to pick up a few old mags, for my collection. I received a win today. I loved the cover car on one the mags(cm#17), a certain VW Corrado. Blew me away when I saw who the builder was. WOW!!!
  7. Gregg, can't seem to get it to open. ????????
  8. Mike, what part of the ATL do you live in?
  9. We just hit 500 posts!!
  10. WOW!!! I love that Cobra. Great work!! Now that engine and those wheels would look good on my thunderbird!
  11. I think the front glass in the deora was from a 60 or 61 Ford station wagon.
  12. Rowdy, I noticed today that the thunderbird that Jairus mentioned is back in the walmart $6.44 kit lineup. It might be better( read, cheaper) to butcher those than your thunderbolts! JAT
  13. Hello from a Georgia Boy. What part of NC do you hail from?
  14. Gregg, I'll keep my eyes open. i only average going to about four walmarts a day when i travel. But I only travel about 6 days a month now instead of 20-25 in the past. The trick is to buy the whole thing not just the wheel. They usually have at least 2 of each style per store.
  15. Gregg, I picked up one today. It was a Weld Racing wheel with a Hoosier dirt tire. I only paid $4.26 including tax. They even have marked the tires and wheels on the inside with the diameter so they can be interchanged. Thanks for the info!!!
  16. Wow there are now a 101 of us and movin' on up. I love this forum!!!
  17. Welcome to the new party Bob.
  18. How could I not like it!! The best of two great cars. A Chevaro Z/28 wagon!
  19. Has anyone put a scale ruler to those Wheel/tire things that they sell at wally world? You know the ones that have the handle and you pull a ripcord and they go flying off at ungodly speeds to terrorize the cat and other small mammals. They look like they might be close, but I have never checked.
  20. Thanks gregg. I am leaning toward Krylon Sun Yellow/black interior for the color on the Tbird. Are there any source for different wheel/tires for these kits out there.
  21. This poor topic had no post so I decided to invite it to the party. I have never buillt anything large scale but I do have the Big Duece and the old amt t bird hiding under my desk waiting for me to get the nerve to start them. I thought I might build to t bird first to kind of get my feet wet, then tackle the duece. Is there anything I should watch out for on the Tbird? any special tricks to those opening doors? I have given some thought to gluing them shut. Any help would be welcome.
  22. Hey dave it's great to see you over here! I am a substitute teacher and the kids all get a kick out of your site. man I can seem to ever have time to look at all the neat stuff on there! Thanks for all the hard work..
  23. Thanks for the issue date Jarius. I think I can find my copy now. BTW I just won a Premier issue of the old Car Modeler magazine on ebay for 5.95 including shipping.
