  1. I find it hard to believe that Kevin had never heard of the Scale Auto forum. With that said, I believe every forum is different but that fact doesn't make it bad. I belong to the Traks in scale forum, Bob, who is the main moderator is very strict about what you post in his forum, it has to be traditional or it gets the boot, this doesn't make him a bad guy, just a guy that has some guidelines that have to be followed in order to "ENJOY" the forum. You see guys, it's all about enjoyment and thanking God for having options to see different types of modelers and their work. I personally like it here more just like I like Gregg a lot more than Jim but I think both places and others are cool to visit. There are always going to be people that will criticize your work here and in other forums, to me that's an advantage, it pushes me to to better with my next build, we also have to remember that there are good people in other forums and that everyone has a different opinion, so you go ahead and check it out Kevin but most of all, just like when I go to my favorite Ice Cream joint, "ENJOY"!!!!!!!
  2. I know Lyle says I don't have any friends but I will be there trying to make some!!! Just make sure some of you guys hang out with me and make sure to compliment my models just to make him jealous...
  3. These are our two little barking machines!!!
  4. One of my favorite year corvettes, nice job, color fits it nice too!!
  5. You should post more of your stuff here man, you do great work!!!!
  6. Very cool my friend, when properly used, Alclad can make parts look pretty amazing. Nice job on that engine......
  7. This is really awesome my friend!!! Every detail and time has been well worth it!!!!
  8. Check this out guys, when I removed the model from the dissolver it maintained the shape of the body!!!Crazy, no?????
  9. I was able to finish polishing this thing last night. A little tedious because of all the molding and tricky lines but I am pleasd with the results!!!
  10. Very cool Chris, you get better every day. I really would love to see W.I.P. pictures from your builds man, that would be a lot of fun not to mention educational!!! Oh, Lyle, learn to spell!!!!
  11. Very cool Keith but I don't think you know the meaning of the word "little"
  12. Very cool!!!!
  13. Absolutely love what you did with this my friend!!!!
  14. The Chevelle has a lot of possibilities!!! Looks like a good project to undertake!!!
  15. Chris Tucker and Ice-T could have not said it better!!!! Awesome work....
  16. Okay, the clear is added onto this thing. Went with a Tamiya Pearl White for the roof. Wet-sanding and polishing are the next steps, this thing is pretty rough. After that, BMF and Photo-Etching scripts and emblems are in order. Wish me luck fellas!!! There's a nasty little speck of dust or something right in the middle of the roof, it luckily happened just after my last shot of the clear coat so it's nothing that my sanding kit won't be able to take care of, I hope
  17. Replicas and Miniatures definetly has the best red line tires in the market. If you have a Lindberg '66 Chevelle, you can use it's tires. Just paint the scribed line in red and you are done, they come out pretty convincing. I used them on my recently completed Charger!!!!!
  18. Very cool Randy!!!!
  19. That's sexy!!!!!!
  20. Just bought this yesterday, I might just consider doing it to compete here. What I like the most is that the kit is curbside and with my limited time at the bench it will be perfect!!!
  21. Phenomenal work my friend, this one's gonna be a stunner, not to mention a winner. Colors are great in conjunction with the stance!!!!!
  22. Okay guys, after much "dissolving" I decided to use a Dupli-color" shade of red, I forgot what color it is, when I get home I will tell you. I am planning to go with a Pearl White roof for now and adding the clear and polishing phase soon once it's dry.
  23. Sorry for taking so long to respond guys. I am thinking about using a dupli-color shade of red for this, forgot the name of the color Hopefully I won't have to be sorry again after going with this color......
  24. Okay fellas, Mary Kaye just died!!! Dumped this thing into the purple pond. Tried polishing it and started getting these awful shadows all over. I like to use the Dawn Power Dissolver and as you can see, in a matter of two days it's showing its plastic skin already. As you can see by this picture of the hood, the shadows are clearly visible. I polished the right side of the hood and no, I didn't rub through the clearcoat, it's just that this clear was not very cooperative when it came to wet-sanding or polishing. I also bought the headlight buckets that will be installed in the photo-etch grill. These of course are from the best resin caster in the whole entire universe, Norman Veber!!!
