  1. Sorry for taking so long to respond guys. I am thinking about using a dupli-color shade of red for this, forgot the name of the color Hopefully I won't have to be sorry again after going with this color......
  2. Okay fellas, Mary Kaye just died!!! Dumped this thing into the purple pond. Tried polishing it and started getting these awful shadows all over. I like to use the Dawn Power Dissolver and as you can see, in a matter of two days it's showing its plastic skin already. As you can see by this picture of the hood, the shadows are clearly visible. I polished the right side of the hood and no, I didn't rub through the clearcoat, it's just that this clear was not very cooperative when it came to wet-sanding or polishing. I also bought the headlight buckets that will be installed in the photo-etch grill. These of course are from the best resin caster in the whole entire universe, Norman Veber!!!

  4. I have used it lots of times and it works great for me. I use Model Master gloss black enamels, wait an hour and airbrush my Alclad. Here is a picture of a Cobra that my friend built about a year ago. All of the chrome on this kit was in bad shape so he asked me to Alclad it for him. All the chrome on the kit is alcladed including the rims!!!
  5. Very cool work there my friend, love the Impala too!!!
  6. Definetly cool Dave, nice job on yours!!!!
  7. It will be insignia white with the dash a slightly darker shade of the same pink.
  8. WOW!!! Have been following this build from the start and it has been an amazing ride, congratulations and thanks for sharing this man!!!!
  9. Well, I decided to call her the Mary Kay liner, think it would fit it just right. I guess I will keep her like that, I am already imagining her with all the foil and the polishing done. Sexy!!!!!!!
  10. WOW!! I must admit, never thought this thing would come out with this shade of pink!!! I thought it would have a slight touch of the pearl but it changed a lot of the original color. While I am not too fond of this color my wife says she loves it. I will keep it as is. probably, by the time I buff it and bare metal foil it, it will look a little better. Hope you guys like it, comments are welcomed, good or bad, specially bad!!!!
  11. Okay guys, I have been in the house since Monday and decided to put some time on this project. Yesterday I painted the body and it is currently drying in the dehydrator as I speak. I will be adding the clear soon so this is more of a live broadcast. If anything fails I will be humiliated right in front of all you guys!!! I will be using this Odds and Ends Pink Pearl Clear that I bought at Michael's, I think it will go just right with this Mica Red from Tamiya, at least I hope. This is how the body came out!!! Wish me luck!!!!!!!!
  12. I have some oldies but goodies!!!!
  13. Very cool man........
  14. Very cool Bill, like all your stuff!! I am glad to see you posting info. on those magnets, I have already saved the site and will definetly be buying them in the future, they will work not only for door applications but for other little things around the model!!!
  15. Model Car Garage has a nice set with a photo-etch sheet within the kit. They are a little tedious to work with but the results are phenomenal!!! It also includes the transparent fuel lines which in reality could be simulated with fishing line.
  16. Very cool Irv, I will be trying that P\E emblem trick, details like these make the difference to trained eyes!!!! I have to do mine soon, these Novas look vicious!!!
  17. Approve??? Did you say approve??? What's wromg with you man??? Just for that the moderators will be dealing with you, we don't need any more wise guys here!!! By the way, cool build!!!!
