  1. Thanks Carl. On a side note it really pays to browse the LHS when killing time. I found some Gundam parts that will more than suffice for the spotlights required in this build. This car had three mounted on the roof, two facing forward, the drivers side being red, and one facing rearward in amber. Additionally this set has some really really small clear lenses I need for a tank I'm currently building as well. Two birds with one stone, or shall I say one $15 bill (I bought two sets) I'll post pics as soon as I can. G
  2. Missouri and Nevada are the same way. As far as I know only California has that requirement. Go figure........................... G
  3. In 2012 I have cranked out: 6 armor builds, 3 autos, and finished 2 stalled builds, one of which sat for 7 years. G
  4. No, in California the plate stays with the car throughout it's lifetime. G
  5. That's a clue detective........................................ G
  6. Roadside assistance............... G
  7. I love it all, but that dash is just over the top. G
  8. Thanks guys! I got the body polished up today and ready for BMF. Trouble is I start my work week tomorrow. G
  9. Moving right along. G
  10. BMP216A, FMP7B, were both on one car, along with a third that is a dead giveaway. Name the type of car, the movie, and the character. G
  11. Very nice! G
  12. I have been known to peel paint......................................... G
  13. Look closely at the Olds and you will see two large mold seams the builder left. Check out the area between the rear window and the top of the belt line just where it starts up over the rear fender. Everything else is primo, as is the other Ford build. G
  14. Here's one for the group. G
  15. Looking good so far. G
  16. Son, we're professionals, don't you try this at home. G
  17. I learned to forget the haters and just build what I want, when I want, the way I want it. Several of my recent builds were completely poopooed by a local club, yet a few placed in their classes yesterday in Phoenix. Interestingly, I didn't build any of them to be a winner in any show, I just built them to the best of my ability as they are all, in their own way, subjects near and dear to me. Oh and BTW Doc, my TZH pickup, previously referred to as "useless garbage" placed third. Go figure. G
  18. See if you had attended yesterday's show, you would be aware that Danno and I conspired to yank your chain. He didn't give me a set either. G
  19. The decals were markings from the '60's not the '70's. G
  20. Gentlemen, let us cease expounding upon the issue of cost, lest our esteemed better halves take note. Besides, as stated, some things are better off remaining unknown.................... G
  21. When you factor in the costs of the original kit, Modelhaus conversion, paint, glue and time, $510.00 doesn't seem all that outrageous, if you are a collector. We builders, on the other hand, agree with Danno. I have on occasion attempted to tabulate the cost of a build. It depressed me, therefore I no longer care. G
  22. Underbody is dark gray, frame rails are black, semi gloss at first, but flat soon after hitting the road. Engine and tranny aluminum, valve covers black. Drive shafts were steel and the rear end was black. Steel springs and a dark dark gray/black gas tank. It was a composite material. Don't forget the radiator and heater hoses on a LT1 equippied car were light green. Don't worry about plug wires, you cannot see them when the hoods open. G
  23. Jonathan, consider the head slap sent. You better be there next time boy. Danno thanks for the props, makes a guy blush considering the competition present. Oh and Thank You Sir! for those excellant Phoenix PD decals. G
  24. Magazine. MCM featured a local show several years ago and I had three cars photographed. That really meant a lot to me. G
