  1. Oh one more thing, real 1:1 paint aside, what should be used for the colors? I was going with a regular baby blue but it appears to be slightly on the gray side. G
  2. Got it! Thank you gentlemen, you too Jonathan...................................... G
  3. Very, very nice! Those are builds to be proud of. G
  4. Right there with ya Charlie, I have the decals and am waiting on the car. Can anyone tell me if the Mass troopers had a red or blue globe on the roof light back then. G
  5. It got to the point where all I watched was the paint being applied. I really enjoyed Nubs graphics, and watching him work. Everything else, well...................... meh. G
  6. Drooldrooldrool.......... Can you say Chicago PD? St. Louis PD? Mass Trooper? FHP? I knew you could. G
  7. My grammar sux, especially when it comes to slang..................................... That's a good start on the truck, but I see what you mean. There is too much space between the cab and the body. Someone, somewhere markets those slamlocks. I just cannot remember who................. G
  8. Good to see you here Josh! G
  9. Grandpa had some cars, but his passion was bikes. This is the 1920 Gypsy Tour. The photo was taken in St Louis' Forest Park by one of those magnificient panoramic cameras. Grandpa and grandma are the stylish couple third from the left. The bike is, best I can tell, a 1919 Harley Davidson J Model, repleat with carbide headlamp. Here's the entire photo: G
  10. I heard from my wife if I didn't finish one of my stalled cars, there would be "issues". G
  11. Git er done Sean! Oh we had baby blue cars....................once. G
  12. That is one very very nice replica, be proud of that one young man. I've been at this model building thing for close to 50 years now and still get paint and glue all over me. G
  13. That car is flippin' SWEET! G
  14. Son, we are just getting started. Don't make me tell you what MrsG said about you either..................................... G
  15. As far as I know the '91-'94 models used the same style front bench seat when ordered. Remember it was about this time OSHA and CALEA mandated equipment comply with air bag deployment zones. Hence buckets, as this allowed more room to mount various bits and bobs between the seats away from the airbags. My '93 had the 45-45 front bench with the center arm rest removed to allow a shotgun to be mounted. It is conceivable to have a 91-93, such as you have built, with buckets. BTW that photo you refer to is of bucket seats, not a 45-45 bench. Also recall 91-93 models offered black, dk. blue and tan color interiors only. 94-96 switched to a lt blue/gray, tan, maroon (yes maroon) and charcoal. G
  16. MrsG told me to take the money saved from cigs and use it on models. No hesitation there! G
  17. Dude I quit cold turkey last January and haven't looked back. My lovely wife inspired me by quitting one year ago this month. She helped me quite a bit. Her support consisted of comments like: "If you smoke, I'll punch you in the head". Good Chicago native such as she doesn't mince words. I quit. G
  18. Jonathan the front seat you want is included in the original Caprice taxi/police car kit the SS came from. I'd look for one of those before converting the "ahem" unpainted buckets. G
  19. That's the one! Mums the word, I won't tell Jo.......uh you know who.............................. G
  20. Oh how happy I am to have spent another glorious day in the Marine Corps, where every day is a holiday and every meal a feast. God Bless my Drill Instructor and God Bless Chesty where ever he may be. The only good enemy is a dead enemy. Gung Ho!, Ouhh Rahh!, Aye Aye Sir! G Machine Gunner, Weapons Plt, 2/7, 1974-1978
  21. Rhode Island plate 28 BA G
  22. Looking good! I love that interior too. G
