  1. I have been a spotter for the NWS for years and a volunteer for the local Emergency Management....a heads up is better than one 6 foot under.
  2. The closest one would be the Ecto kit unless you can find a resin conversion somewhere for the Ecto kit. You could also try to raise the roof of the kit to make it what your wanting to build...Me Id rather have the Hearses...LOL...
  3. That looks pretty cool...and its 1/24th scale
  4. Welcome Clayton... Build because you love it...nothing else matters about it. There are many people that have no clue what goes into building and the skills it takes...its a great way to pass the time and my passion. Being disabled I have lots of time to pass but have always been a builder and proud of it...there are much worse hobbies to have anyway. Never let anyone stop or get in the way of the real you...build for yourself first.
  5. That is cool...and that is coming from a factory stock kind of guy.
  6. I really like it Stan...very cool. I see your 65 Chevy wagon in the background...cool i am a wagon nut.
  7. I have to admit I am not very good at taking photos myself and can relate to this but its always great to see what others are building or have built.
  8. Tom....Man does your collection of Dodge van kit photos bring back loads of memories for me...I built many of those as a kid. Love to find some of the 71 to 77s they are way under rated and are great kits. I have a couple of sad build ups needing parts but no boxes to share photos of them...very cool.
  9. Very nice work!...WOW!
  10. Ill second that bbowser....love the 60s and 70s stuff myself...real cars back then. Nice build!
  11. Save on rental space or getting a bigger house and just send what you wont build to me...LOL...
  12. Cool... I love the Johan kits....orange and white look good to me.
  13. Id try reworking the 59 Etco kit into a hearse the roof on the 66 Johan hearse is different than the older bodied cars. Google the 59 Cadillac Hearse for reference photos..should help...Art is right.
  14. Beautiful old Pontiac!
  15. I just got my half of a trade deal from Bill(bills_rules)GREAT guy to deal with...trade again anytime with him.
  16. VERY NICE....! Id like to find those myself had them when I was a kid and loved them.
  17. Id be happy if it would just get and keep above the mid 60s here.
  18. I use to be a member of the Blueprinter with exclusive issue kits and they ended up on the shelves anyway...not to mention I paid my renewal fee and then they quit...never got anything back ether? I am not saying its not a good thing for anyone out there...there just going to have to impress me to get me to join up...how about bringing some kit to the light of day that have not seen it in over 30 years?...so far so good with the re-issues coming out to the general public of buyers... make it and they will buy them.
  19. I think you might be right Joe...kind of looks like a crew cab maybe? In 2011 when we had one here we had power poles with blades of grass embedded in them and some of the bricks on my house..there was a large branch from an apple tree on our trucks hood...no one within 2 blocks of me has an apple tree.
  20. Welcome...plastic is in our blood...LOL...
