  1. Robin... Many years ago they did make a promo and ether MPC or AMT made one but there very hard to find. I did have a 72,72,73,74,75 promos but they were taken when my house was broken into just before Christmas last year...sorry I cant help any more than that for you but they were made. I am trying to find a 75 to build a replica of a car I once owned.
  2. Awesome Cadilllacs Greg!!!!!!!!!!!....lucky you.
  3. I like it!...then again my first real car was a 72 Toronado...love to find me one.
  4. Yep I hear you and agree....they claim to get these high prices for things and pay way more than one could ever hope to get for an item. Bad thing is it makes everyone thing their stuff is worth its weight in gold....if their telling the truth they can come by here with loads of cash to spend.
  5. Thanks Alan...your one of the good ones too.
  6. Very nice!!!....I love the old school trucks.
  7. Just had a great trade with progplastic...excellent to work with!
  8. I would have to had looked at all of them....
  9. Nice truck!... I had the same thing happen here a couple of days before Christmas....lost around 70% of my stuff...many were from my dads old collection...huge bummer.
  10. I like the idea of the roof....makes the kit look completely different and cool.
  11. Thanks guys... I still cant believe how close the two are in building style...LOL...
  12. As a factory stock builder I see your point of view and the huge task of trying to restore one of these to factory stock again...I have the same problem with many I have. But there are some that just need to be left as is if they cant be restored....trying to restore the old builds can be a HUGE task.
  13. Yep it sure did it was called the(ding a ling)....me myself I LOVE the little accessories the kits came with I collect them and use them in dioramas cant get enough of them...scale figures were great too.
  14. Tom... I love wagons anyway so I can understand why you had to have it....real time piece and full of model history.
  15. Well I am not real computer savvy but I think its horrible for people like me that can not afford to get another computer.... I barely know who to run this one to start with. I cant help but feel there could be a inside interest in the whole thing for financial gain here of the sales of new computers or ? I have an old 84 Pickup that is much more reliable than many of the newer cars/trucks out there...guess they would want me to through away it too and force me to buy a new one if I want/need to be able to drive anywhere???
  16. WOW!!!!...very very nice!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Very cool...you have to check out my weathered pickup in my photo bucket here...we must think alike....LOL...
  18. That stretched 60 Ford wagon is wild looking! Talk about a creative mind!
  19. I enjoy seeing these old build ups from days gone by and it does hit home of my own childhood days of building. Me if I find one that is pretty nicely done Ill leave it as is but if there in need of repairing or a total makeover I will restore them to factory stock if possible. I look at old models and promos as restoring and trying to save some history and love doing it. With my main source of models coming from garage sales or trades I have seen many of these old builds...some are just crying out for help...far too many do end up in the landfill in my opinion...wish I could be there to get them and give them another life nothing ever goes to waste here there is always another use for them if they cant be restored or repaired.
  20. I like it...! Very nice! Nice to see a built that is not top of the line muscle car.
  21. I love it...!!!! This is one that is on my bucket list to get someday....love the shape of these things just beautiful!
  22. Welcome Nikki... Congrats on the choice to build...its great therapy and very fulfilling hobby...stick with it and hang tough you will make it.
