  1. Well they come with the kits but you can make your own soda or pop bottles from the clear or other plastic parts trees left over from builds for free. Take them and carefully heat and gently pull to desired shape...blow on them till cool...cut to the shape you want and done....I have one or two of the ones I made in my 64 Chevy junkyard pickup build under my profile here in my photobucket photos. A lack of any real budget to work with makes one learn to be very creative.
  2. Nothing in life is perfect...believe this and you wont be disappointed. The quickest way to tell just how much someone knows is by how much they think they know.
  3. Mine has no real hobbies but she does like top cook...I did get her to build one model while we were dating still but that is as far as it went with modeling....too bad she did good for her first one which I still have.
  4. Sorry to hear that Jason...I have had more bad luck over the past 6 months than I thought I could handle myself...home broke into-model room burglarized and loads of damage to what is still here...then health problems, etc. I feel for you bud....wish I had another hood for you but don't...otherwise it would be yours. Keep at it the build was looking pretty cool to me.
  5. I miss my old 75 Pontiac Trans Am the most...had to sell her off to pay bills after my accident in 1996....still hurts today. I also had to sell my 27 Ford Model T coupe hot rod project car at the time....
  6. Looks very nice Larry!
  7. Just had a trade with(gray07)...great to deal with! I have traded with(partsmarty)too...another great person to deal with!
  8. Well if you count the ones that have been waiting for what seems like years to find parts to complete them enough to restore/build I have around 75 of them....bad thing is they just sit there the parts are ether too expensive for my budget or just too rare....huge bummer too...some really cool stuff from days long gone. Normally I try to keep it down to one at a time when building but the mind never stops thinking of others Id like to build.
  9. Shes a beauty Rich!....very nice save. Hopefully mine will come out as good once I get needed part for them...love these big old Caddys
  10. Power to weight ratio....light weight car with too much horse power...perfect. I would say it would have to handle well too for the speeds its capable of though.
  11. Most of my builds are usually a bright or medium color....but what always seems to dominate my builds is waiting to find needed parts for them sadly. I am sitting on some great stuff from my dads old collection I cant build or restore/repair due to needing parts for them...being a mostly factory stock builder its not easy to find those things and my lack of a real building budget does not help any ether.
  12. Not all builds have to be shinny to be great!...very cool!
  13. I like it as is....Nice look it has the look of and old workhorse truck!
  14. Thanks for the information Bill..! No sense in opening an original kit that is still sealed then...I have one of the Nascar ones reissued awhile back to use if I cant find anything in factory stock form. Agreed the Boss 429 would be a great engine for it...I just remember it being a huge engine and had the hood vent in it and it had loads of power.
  15. Ill second that Nick....nice T-bird and Volare kit!
  16. I have to agree the taillights on the box cover and the kit body appears to be a 72 to me....nice kits too. I have been looking for the Johan snap kits of these and others there pretty good too in my opinion.
  17. Tell them we think its awesome...
  18. Ill second that!!!!....WOW!!!!! its just beautiful...!
  19. That is cool....I see many possibilities!
  20. Id drive it too!...fun. Id like to find one of these kits to use for parts to restore an old original AMT factory stock one...nice find for 5.oo!
  21. Me.... I am old enough to fit in with the rest but still think I am in my 20s at times then I feel like I am 70 or more most of the time....I feel like an old man but a kid at heart(and pay for it later)
  22. That is one of the things I have to agree with the emergency services and volunteer service people have big caring hearts...one of the reasons they get into the fields in the first place with many of them. I still do some volunteer work myself for what I can do but when I was going full tilt we use to carry small beanie babies or something close to help get the situation off the little ones minds and help calm them down that we gave them to keep...small price to pay for the results. Great story about Tyler...makes me proud of all of them.
