  1. I like it TJ...pretty cool looking. I have done just one too...my 64 Chevy pickup in my photobucket here under my profile it was my first attempt too. It was warped badly and thought this way it would have a use..it was fun.
  2. I like it!
  3. Very COOL Tim..! A buddy of mine owned a 69 California Special GS....always thought it was a cool looking car. I have a 66 Skylark GS from my dads old stuff I need to restore once I find the parts to...he use to own one think Ill make it as his was.
  4. Simply stunning!!!!...I have had some of the car dealer promo radios...very very nice work!!!!
  5. I am just too happy some of the older kits are making a comeback....just wish the local hobby lobby would get them...most of the time issued kits just never show at ours...bummer. I love the fact the model companies are hearing what we want and responding to the requests for them...makes me a happy camper.
  6. Our hobby lobby here is too...with all the reissued kits and new ones Id think they would be getting something in? Our hobby lobby came to town and had great selection and prices put everyone else out of the business...now there the only game in town and they majorly raised their prices here and hardly ever get anything in but military, planes, ships, and die-cast stuff...at least I can get paint there but makes me think there going to quit handling models or at least anything AMT,MPC,etc. almost all their automotive related kits are Revell and I rarely buy one.
  7. I think I still have the kit in the yellow box...box is shot but kit seems to be ok.
  8. Mark....Very nice!!! I like the AMCs too.
  9. One of the reasons women are hired for those and other spots are they have greater hand dexterity than most guys...makes me wonder why you don't see more women builders there good with crafts, etc. and your right they usually get paid less for the same jobs???
  10. I like it!...its big long and bad!
  11. Jim that is a great story....I was and am a HUGE fan of the Johan kits....even there snaps and promo like kits. I had a few you listed but there gone now...I use to own a real...72 Olds Toronado it was my first real car...someday maybe Ill find a few of the ones I use to own.
  12. very nice!
  13. My thoughts and prayers are with you all Charlie.
  14. Looking good!.... Now I really have to find a affordable 75 TA to build like my old car!
  15. I had that super van kit as a kid...loved it! just too wild and cool.
  16. That is good news buddy!... The saw I have been there twice....not any fun at all...not to mention I cant sneak past a metal locator.
  17. Congrats buddy!.... Now that is a compliment for ones work and passion!...well deserved too
  18. I see Nick...Yeah he was just hoping for a steal of a deal thinking you might just be trying to get rid of stuff maybe. Yeah I can understand the way you feel over it...don't let it get to you though there is always one out there like him. As you know my income level is pitiful but Id never have the nerve to ask that for a sealed kit that is of something I wanted.
  19. Devastating.... The orange GTO looks like my old TA did but only it was from behind...I got to see it from photos a friend took of it sitting in a scrapyard lot before they processed it... it only had 33,000. miles on it....now i have 350,000+ in me....
  20. My body feels about 70 most of the time to me at 50 but my mind still wants to be in my 20s... ....one of the strangest things is trying to get use to not being strong and full of energy as I use to be after the last 20 years since my accident happened...enjoy it while you can.
  21. I have to agree with Mathew and Tom on some not being worth $3.oo to me anyway mainly Nascar of the 90s and up just never liked them they all look the same now if there not a 90s and up Nascar and sealed or open and mint,etc....Id have no problem with getting a kit for $3.oo in a world where there just getting higher priced every day...would be a steal of a deal depending on the kit but I do know the situation where some people think their stuff is worth its weight in gold and yours is the leftovers...why??? I have paid more than that for kits and build ups at garage sales here...try not to take it personally it has nothing to do with you or your stuff...just someone unaware of what they were looking at or just trying to get a deal...some want too good of a deal at times.
  22. I use to race seen many gassers with radiators and fan belts they needed them to try and keep them cool...seen very few without and they usually lost the engines quickly due to overheating even though many that had the fan belt would have no fan blade just used the pulley to run the water pumps. Some did run what they called dry block(with no radiator)something I would never do those engines cost too much to replace often.
