  1. Id say it was from the AMT 68,69 GTX or Road Runner kit.
  2. I like it....looks good!
  3. While were talking about people that maybe should not drive I had a experience at a local gas station that left me almost speechless... I was putting gas in our truck and a lady pulled in across from my pump to fuel up too...she gets out and opens the gas door and starts to pump gas in. She stands there for a minute and looks at me very seriously and says...I smell gas? I am thinking in my head..Oh really??? but did not say anything due to I was afraid of what her next statement could be while I was trying not to laugh.
  4. NICE work!.... I have one of these kits it will be a everyday family car.
  5. I agree with Andy...strip the plating off and clean well then just spray the color of paint you want on them...usually the plating or look like plating will come off very easily.
  6. I like it TJ...pretty cool looking. I have done just one too...my 64 Chevy pickup in my photobucket here under my profile it was my first attempt too. It was warped badly and thought this way it would have a use..it was fun.
  7. I like it!
  8. Very COOL Tim..! A buddy of mine owned a 69 California Special GS....always thought it was a cool looking car. I have a 66 Skylark GS from my dads old stuff I need to restore once I find the parts to...he use to own one think Ill make it as his was.
  9. Simply stunning!!!!...I have had some of the car dealer promo radios...very very nice work!!!!
  10. I am just too happy some of the older kits are making a comeback....just wish the local hobby lobby would get them...most of the time issued kits just never show at ours...bummer. I love the fact the model companies are hearing what we want and responding to the requests for them...makes me a happy camper.
  11. Our hobby lobby here is too...with all the reissued kits and new ones Id think they would be getting something in? Our hobby lobby came to town and had great selection and prices put everyone else out of the business...now there the only game in town and they majorly raised their prices here and hardly ever get anything in but military, planes, ships, and die-cast stuff...at least I can get paint there but makes me think there going to quit handling models or at least anything AMT,MPC,etc. almost all their automotive related kits are Revell and I rarely buy one.
  12. I think I still have the kit in the yellow box...box is shot but kit seems to be ok.
  13. Mark....Very nice!!! I like the AMCs too.
  14. One of the reasons women are hired for those and other spots are they have greater hand dexterity than most guys...makes me wonder why you don't see more women builders there good with crafts, etc. and your right they usually get paid less for the same jobs???
  15. I like it!...its big long and bad!
  16. Jim that is a great story....I was and am a HUGE fan of the Johan kits....even there snaps and promo like kits. I had a few you listed but there gone now...I use to own a real...72 Olds Toronado it was my first real car...someday maybe Ill find a few of the ones I use to own.
  17. very nice!
  18. My thoughts and prayers are with you all Charlie.
  19. Looking good!.... Now I really have to find a affordable 75 TA to build like my old car!
  20. I had that super van kit as a kid...loved it! just too wild and cool.
