  1. Nice work Tim!... been wanting to build a factory stock Montego GT like the family owned some day.
  2. VERY NICE...!!!! And its from the year span of real nascars!..love it great work!
  3. Mike...if I were you Id just try to polish off the paint you want to....never found anything one could strip these types with safely without harming/destroying the plastic. Some paints mess with them too. Restoring promos is a huge passion of mine...very satisfying to see them come back to what they were or should be like. I cant decide which I like better...restoring promos or old models???...guess Ill have to go with both.
  4. Love it!!!...The Munsters cars were always a favorite of mine...very nice work!
  5. The lady that could not stop behind me cause she was driving too fast and not paying attention while driving in this weather....good thing I had a huge hitch in in case someone needed pulled out.
  6. Man that is a beautiful Cutlass...!!!!!
  7. We got at least 12 inches here and were supposed to get more late week....drive activation cable on our snow blower broke today....no place to get indoors to try and fix it ether...
  8. I really hope mine starts carrying Mobius kits.... My 40+ year stash has shrank big time ...thanks to burglars.
  9. Hang in there Dave buddy....you have all our thoughts and prayers buddy. I was very happy to be able to help you with the promise buddy....a priceless smile is worth anything....that knowing it made her smile is more than enough payment for me buddy...its not every day one gets to be of such help to another...very happy to be able to...remember you have plenty of others here that are more than happy to lend an ear and show support in this hard time.
  10. Tom...that stinks man...we can become very attached to our cars/babies...I was and would have never ever sold it but was in a really bad place with the huge bills from my accident and was trying to see if I could save our house but it did not matter we lost it anyway. I really hope to find a model of a 75 TA someday that can be restored so I can have something to remember her by.
  11. Man that is cool!... I really got to find me a 63 Tempest AWB parts car now so I can finish my stock one...LOL...
  12. Welcome John
  13. I have had the opposite happen in the city..just before Christmas this year...pretty much took or damaged all my stash from the last 40+ years. when we lived outside of town here never had a problem wish I could have stayed there....its almost enough to make one give up building.
  14. I have to like it...its a wagon!
  15. I like it William... I have a old AMT 63 Tempest model trying to restore to factory stock it will have the little slant 4cyl too just need to find the missing parts for the old Tempest yet to start it. Always like these cool little engines there basically 1/2 of a Pontiac 389ci engine...the head is the same on the actual 1 to 1s
  16. I never minded the snaps by Johan or many curbside kits....they still can be made into a great looking model. Ones imagination is the only limit with them as many kits. Looks nice to me and I'm a 60s to mid 70s kind of guy so nice work.
  17. I got a International 4300 semi kit in the mail from Al.Garber....thanks Al.
  18. That is SWEET Dan!.... Wish the model companies would make those big late 60s cars...Id think Id gone to heaven....LOL...
  19. Just completed a trade with (alangarber)....would again hes a good trader to deal with.
  20. We have Progressive now....only had one claim with them over the years...no problems what so ever and they will take monthly payments too...planing on staying with them.
  21. I like to get good value too but I also like a no problem company...have a claim is taken care of. I will NEVER have Metlife St Paul insurance again...we had full coverage on a fairly new car and making payments on it. It got hit in the rear door which buckled the roof and pushed the rear clip off center buy 3 inches...they would not total it and said it would not need to be re-aligned...all they wanted to do is cosmetics on the car which the rear passenger door was inside the car now. I asked the guy if he knew what my ASE card was?...nope he did not so how is he qualified to say anything...promptly dropped them after a 1/2 price settlement of the actual estimate from the only body shop that would even write one...all others said its totaled with 29,000 miles on it....never again.
  22. Sounds like time to get him started...maybe some snap kits?
