We have Progressive now....only had one claim with them over the years...no problems what so ever and they will take monthly payments too...planing on staying with them.

I like to get good value too but I also like a no problem company...have a claim is taken care of. I will NEVER have Metlife St Paul insurance again...we had full coverage on a fairly new car and making payments on it. It got hit in the rear door which buckled the roof and pushed the rear clip off center buy 3 inches...they would not total it and said it would not need to be re-aligned...all they wanted to do is cosmetics on the car which the rear passenger door was inside the car now. I asked the guy if he knew what my ASE card was?...nope he did not so how is he qualified to say anything...promptly dropped them after a 1/2 price settlement of the actual estimate from the only body shop that would even write one...all others said its totaled with 29,000 miles on it....never again.

Bryan.... My favorite ever owned car seen a similar death it was a 75 Pontiac Trans Am rust free Texas car with a 0.30 over 400ci,ram air heads and exhaust manifolds, huge cam,160mph speedometer, slap stick shifter,373 posi...I loved that car. After my accident it had to be sold to pay on bills...the guy that got it was drag racing on the street and blew the engine up catching it on fire gutted the car from the dash forward...my heart sank...maybe someday Ill find a model/promo of one to make like mine was?

I like it!.... the flat top sleeper looks great on it. -
Jeff... Rich is right and very very few promos had anything glued in them...I love restoring promos myself getting them back to what they should be like or were...heavily damaged ones I turn into models if there not repairable as is.

Body fit issues Need input..
disabled modeler replied to slusher's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Carl... If your really careful you can try the hot water trick on the body. Run under hot water for a bit then take ans carefully twist the body a little bit past the other way of twist and hold till cool...then check to see if its good...if not repeat. Sometimes this will work. -
I have the same problem with my hands Dave...only with me its nerve damage from my spine injuries in the car accident I was in. With me they tell me it will get worse over time and it has...I just do not build when they act up on me. There is plenty of other things to do then like look for parts to a project or restoration, cleaning or organizing extras. You will find your way around it for the most part.

Cool John!... I just tried to treat people like i wish they would me in return. It was great while it lasted anyway. I myself am waiting for some change of luck on too many points to think of right now. Nothing like having to basically start over from scratch again after building/collecting kits and promos for over 40 years due to burglars...what they did not take they tore up...they needed enough already. By the grace of god they did not find everything...still have some of my dads oldies and a few of my childhood ones but they all need more work or more parts now and cant afford to just go order resin replacements of what they do offer...that is just one issue have on my plate. Thanks for the compliments on my old shop John...I tried really hard to make them all feel important and welcomed.

I am glad things are getting better for you John...I have had to work for people like that before that is one of the reasons when I had my shop I never ever treated anyone that way...all my people were treated like family because it was right and how I wanted them to feel...only makes for great people that look forward to coming in to work. Sadly when I had my accident we lost everything-shop,house,cars,etc.pretty much. Not once did I ever have anyone that was unhappy while there...they were not just a number.
