  1. Sounds like a nice project, Mike! I'm back on the '32 5 Window Coupe for today. Cranked up the paintbooth and painted the rear axle, drive shaft and steering box and shaft with Alclad II Gloss Black and then with Alclad II Chrome. I started work on the frame. I added a fuel line from the tank to the frame where it won't be seen. I also added the transmission cross member and noticed all the spots not covered by paint. Out came a touchup brush and some Lime Ice Lacquer. I got started on the interior with some assembly. I need to finish the dash and install that into the interior. More to come...
  2. So far the morning, I have remounted the side steps and added the stacks. The side view mirrors have been reworked. I made a couple of mounting plates and mounted the mirrors sideways to better replicate a stock mirror. I removed the battery so I can try to fit new air tubes from the core support up to the air cleaner. I reattached the tailgate and repainted the taillights including adding blue dots to the taillight centers. More to come...

    KAR 120C

    Thank you Christopher and Ray!
  4. This is my Ram VTS Pickup that I pulled off the shelf for a cleanup and quick rebuild. It is painted with Tamiya TS-50 Mica Blue. The wheels are from the Maisto BMW Z-8 and looks a lot better than the kit wheels. I spent almost an hour on the grille and front bumper and I still don't like the appearance.
  5. Thank you everyone! There is something I like about some of these "big boats". Imagine cruising along in a Hemi powered land barge like this...
  6. I built this LRE about 10-12 years ago. It needed and good cleaning and a rebuild. I spent some time working on the grille of this truck and I'm not 100% happy with it. I found these air tubes in my parts box. I'll see if I can make them work... More to come...
  7. I have finished my Lotus Seven Series II and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have taken the time to view and to comment on my WIP. The end credits... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQ9AqRAwgK4

    KAR 120C

This is my rebuilt Lotus Seven Series II aka KAR 120C or No. 6's car from The Prisoner TV series. It was painted with Tamiya X-5 Green with a Model Master Insignia Red interior, wired engine and built Out-Of-Box.
  9. Great job on the Nova, Bill!
  10. Thank you Steve! I finished the Lotus last night, but I haven't had time to take any pictures today since I've been carting the wife and her sisters to and from the hospital where one sister has been hospitalized. I'll get around to it soon...
  11. After cleanups and touchups, the Lotus is going back together. I painted the wheels gloss aluminium since the wheels on KAR 120C are not white like I thought they were. I had originally painted the steering wheel spokes aluminium, but now they are chrome thanks to my Molotow Liquid Chrome 1 mm pen. More to come...
  12. Looks great Randy!
  13. The last time I saw one a Lotus Seven, it needed an engine rebuild. It sat there idling and blowing blue smoke out of the pipe. It also looked like it was just pulled from a barn...
  14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zE-EMinj69o If you have watched the video link, then you know what I am working on. This is a Lotus Seven Series II also known as KAR 120C or No. 6's car from the TV series The Prisoner starring the late Patrick McGoohan. I built this one many years ago. It is one of my favorite models and one that needs a little TLC. I started to dismantle the car a bit this morning to clean and to repaint some of the parts used in this build.
  15. Thank you guys! The '57 300C is a great looking car, even today!
  16. Thank you Ron!
  17. I fired up the paint booth this morning for a clear coat session. Three coats of Testors Wet Look Clear. I found an alternative color for the interior. I masked off the seat and door panels to airbrush a couple coats of Polly Scale Burlington Northern Green. More to come...
  18. I built this 9 years ago for a build off with my Canadian friend, RandyB. Painted with MCW Gaugin Red and detailed with a photoetch set from Model Car Garage.
  19. I am a fan of the TV series Spenser For Hire starring the late Robert Urich. I have built Spenser's first, second, and third season Mustangs from the show, Hawk's BMW 635 CSI, and the '67 Mustang from Spenser: The Judas Goat and Spenser: A Savage Place.
  20. I decided on wheels and tires for the Dart...the infamous Kelsey-Hayes Recall Mags and Goodyear Polyglas GTs F70-15s. I started working on the 340 CID engine.I got the carb, starter, oil filter and adapter, fan belt and fan, and the by-pass hose. More to come...
  21. Thank you Greg! I wasn't sure on how to build this one until I started looking at the other Classic Plastic Model Club builders and at pictures on-line. That's when I decided on full-fendered with wide whitewalls and a Hemi.

    Morgan 4/4

Thank you Dale! I'm trying to rectify my painting gremlins.
  23. Thank you David! I'm using the smooth trunk lid.
  24. This morning, I cut off the 4-speed trans and superglued a resin Torqueflite A727 trans to the 340 CID engine. Once that was set, I primed the engine and trans with Dupli-Color Grey Primer and painted the unit with Mopar Turqouise Engine Paint. The camera flash washed out the color a bit. I'll paint the trans tomorrow. Now to toss this into the dehumidifier for the rest of the day. More to come...
  25. With the wife and her niece watching movies today, I hunkered down in the model cave to work on my projects for the afternoon. I got the '32 5-Window into a good coat of Testors Lime Ice One Coat Lacquer. There's a lot of flake in this paint! Now to let it dry! I still haven't finished the engine yet. I need to install the distributor and run the leads to the heads and make an alternator support so the alternator is not hanging in the air. More to come...
