  1. Thank you Christopher!
  2. Thank you guys! This is just one of those models that I just keep looking at on the shelf.
  3. Why, thank you ol' chap! Mighty kind of you to say so.
  4. Thank you Carl, Eric, Bill, and Lee!
  5. Absolutely! I've dropped my share of models over the years and I'm trying to change that... Thanks Brian! Yes, the metal transfers wouldn't stick, so I used Bare Metal Foil instead.
  6. I generally glue my bodies to the chassis so they don't come apart during handing at shows or at club meetings. I had a model come apart at a club meeting and the chassis hit the floor. Don't want that to happen again! Thank you John!
  7. Thanks Marty and Dennis! I had painted the 392 CI Hemi with Hemi Orange Engine Enamel, but I changed my mind since 392 CI Hemis were painted gold or a similar color. I went with the gold since it will match with the Lime Ice better and the engine would be more period correct. I'll be using a M.A.D. pre-wired distributor. More to come...
  8. Yes, I did. Everything lined up liked it should. The downside of my build is an errant dog hair found its way into the interior of the Jag and is visible through the right rear passenger window and I noticed it after the interior and chassis was installed the glue had dried. It's now there permanently... Thanks everyone!
  9. Thank you Greg and Bob!
  10. Thank you Carl! I have repainted the truck bed and took new pictures this morning.
  11. This is my Tamiya Jaguar Mk. II Saloon painted with Polly Scale CSX Blue with several coats of Tamiya TS-13 Clear and a Tamiya AS-25 Dark Ghost Grey interior.
  12. The Story The guard at the front door collapses after being knocked unconscious. The guard at the back door is unconscious as well and Frank Duncan is now worried that he may be next. He sends his personal body guard out to check on the other guards, but he doesn't return. Frank grabs his Webley .41 Caliber revolver from his desk and ventures out into the hallway calling out to his body guard, and he gets no response. Frank goes back into his office and locks the door only to have the the Webley revolver knocked from his hand and he is surprised by the man holding a gun on him. "Who are you," he asks? "The name's McNally. Tell me how you had David Crumbelt killed?" "I don't know what you are talking about," says Frank. McNally grabs Frank by the shirt collar and throws him to the floor and asks him again, "Tell me how you had David crumbelt killed." McNally fires his SIG P227 into the carpet several times and Frank says, "What are you talking about?" Frank is obviously scared now and shaking. "Tell me how you had David Crumbelt killed," and the SIG is fired into the carpet again. "Hey, that's an expensive Persian rug!" "Tell me how you had David Crumbelt killed." Finally Frank says, "I had Marcos, my body guard kill him on my orders." McNally rolls Frank over onto his stomach and cuffs the criminal as DC Campbell enters the room. "I recorded the entire conversation," she says shutting off the digital recorder. Several days later, McNally stops at Scotland Yard to say goodbye to DC Campbell and to thank her for her help. DCI Ashenbell is rather angry with the Boston PI and refused to talk to him. "I know it's not allowed, but I'm doing it anyway," as DC Campbell gives McNally a hug and a kiss on the cheek. He thanks Ashley for her help and walks out of Scotland Yard and he heads for Heathrow Airport for his flight home to Boston. The Build I have finished my Jaguar Mk. II Saloon and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have taken the time to view and to comment on my WIP.
  13. Thanks Eric! Yes, they are very, very expensive! Unfortunately expensive! I painted the Morgan this afternoon. More to come...
  14. Every now and then, I like to bring up an old posting of one of my models. This one was under discussion at my Club's Play Date and it was suggested that I bring it into the Club meeting for Show-N-Tell on Saturday. I replaced the pictures that were removed when I cancelled my Photobucket account and updated the original posting. Enjoy!
  15. I got some more work done on the Morgan this morning. I got the interior bucket in with the shifter, handbrake, and the seats. I wanted this interior to be a little different. Every Morgan 4/4 is made to a customer's order and so far, all the seats I have seen are either black or tan in color. I choose a dark red for mine. I painted the seats with Model Master Fire Red Enamel and placed them into the dehydrator last night and this morning, I coated them with Testors Semi Gloss Clear. This should look good! More to come...
  16. Thanks Dennis! No tricks caused by lighting or reflections. Just not enough paint on the left side of the bed.
  17. This is my project for the Classic Plastic Model Club Exposition "Club Challenge" '48 Or Older Street Rods. I am building a '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe with full fenders and the 392 CI Hemi engine with steel wheels, trim rings, and hubcaps and wide whitewall tires. I am going to attempt painting the wide whites with an acrylic flat white paint through my Badger Universal 360 Airbrush. My kit is the Revell '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe #85-4228. My body paint will be Testors One Coat Lacquer Lime Ice #18350. The interior will be white with embossing powder for carpets and painted with Polly Scale Burlington North Green F414209. So far, I got the basic Hemi assembled and ready for some Mopar Street Hemi Orange Engine Enamel and the body has been sanded for mold lines and ready for primer. More to come...
  18. With my Jaguar Mk. II Saloon nearly finished, I can continue working on the Morgan 4/4. I got the body and body panels into a coat of primer and found some more moldlines to deal with. I spent nearly an hour looking for and removing the mold lines. Back in March, I watch a series on Velocity called For The Love Of Cars with Philip Glenister and Ant Anstead. The episode finds them purchasing and restoring a '69 Aston Martin DBS similar to the car driven in the James Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service with George Lazenby. The restored DBS was repainted a dark olive green and the interior was reskinned in oxblood or dark red leather. I'm going to paint the seats of the Morgan in a dark red or oxblood color and the rest of the interior will be black. More to come...
  19. I got a text this morning from Revell apologizing for the mixup and then telling me that they don't have access to the support database and I should contact service at Revell.de for assistance. I'm not going down that road again! I have the correct hood coming from a fellow Club member.
  20. The Story Based on Scotland Yard's investigation, Colin Spencer who is already in custody, ran with Dane Parker and they both worked for Frank Duncan, a known crime boss in London. McNally stops at Dane's flat just outside of London and knocks on the door. Dane opens the door and is asked if he would talk to him for a moment. Dane recognizes McNally and refuses to answer any questions and shows McNally a Walther P99 and has him enter the flat, assume the position on the wall and searches him. Dane takes McNally's SIG and tucks it into his belt, pulls out his cellphone and makes a call. McNally figures that the call is to Frank Duncan who wants him brought over to his place for questioning. Dane leads McNally down to his rental and they drive away to Frank's base of operations. While they are driving, McNally tells Dane that while he has the gun, McNally is in charge and he presses the gas pedal to the floor and the car takes off in a hurry. "Unload your gun and toss it into the back seat," says McNally! Dane replies, "Slow down, man or I'll shoot!" "Shoot me and I'll crash this car," yells McNally. Dane cocks the Walther P99 and McNally sends the Astra into a sideways skid and into a large oak tree, passenger side first. The crash kills Dane and McNally is dazed as he tries to get out of the car by opening the door and falling to the ground after releasing his seat belt. A Metro Police car stops at the scene with its lights flashing and the cop runs over to McNally lying in the street. "The man in the car has a gun," says McNally and the cop pulls his weapon and approaches the Astra and removes the Walther P99 from the floor and McNally's SIG after checking Dane for a pulse. A short while later, McNally is transported to the Hospital to be checked out. The Build I mocked up the Jag to see how it was progressing. I still need to clean the glass, reassemble the Jag and glue the front end down, and finish adding the rest of the chrome bits. McNally will return...
  21. I'm not going to bother with Revell over the issue of the hood. My timing was off and I got caught in the middle of this. I've got another hood coming and I'm going to move on from this issue. It is unfortunate that this happened when it did, so it's time to move ahead.
  22. Thank you David! I would like to suggest that you stay with the rehab program until they boot your butt out the door...
  23. Yes, it does seem to be bad timing on my part, but I now have a correct hood coming from a fellow Club member. I was telling him about the kit that I had bought and he also had, but pirated the engine for another project. He offered me the hood and I will have it in a couple of days. If Revell had sent me the correct hood when I had originally requested it, this whole scenario could have been avoided. But, the person pulling the parts had pulled the wrong hood instead. I am rather mad and frustrated with Revell just because someone couldn't do their job right! Read the paperwork and read the part sprue number tag and make sure that they both match and then put the correct pieces in the box!!!
