  1. The Story It is 9:00 PM and Vic peers through the night vision scope and sees a shadow in the alley way from the street. It is McNally with his Smith & Wesson drawn. Vic then sees a man standing in a doorway holding an AK-47, this must be Harvey . He can't hear them, but judging from Harvey's body language, he is about to kill McNally. Vic toggles off the safety on the Bravo-51 just as Harvey raises his assault rifle. Vic squeezes the trigger and the crack from the Bravo-51 echos of the building walls as Harvey clutches his shoulder, dropping the AK-47 and McNally runs over to kick the rifle away. The sound of sirens and police cars and detectives turn the quiet parking lot into a busy crime scene. Vic grabs the gun case and runs over to the fire escape, making his way down to the parking lot. He runs over to McNally. "Right on target!", says McNally. Vic says," Thanks, I'll see you later" and walks down the alley way to the street and to his Dakota. The Build Vic's Dodge Dakota Sport is complete and posted in the Under Glass section. My thanks to all who viewed and commented on my build.
  2. Thanks Brian! It's an easy project that is also something different to do!
  3. The Story The sun set over 30 minutes ago and the sky is dark. The cool night air feels good on Vic's skin as the roof top finally starts to cool down from baking in the afternoon sun. He checks his watch and scans the buildings and the parking lot for signs of life. All is still quiet as he continues to wait patiently. The Build The new tailpipe has been trimmed to match the original and I may trim back the hanger on the original pipe. I'll add exhaust tips made from aluminium tubing. The chassis is up on four wheels. While rummaging in my parts box for piece for another project, I found the extra lightbar from the Polar Lights Ghostbusters Ecto 1 Caddy. Maybe I can scratch together a lens for it and put on top of Vic's Dakota. More to come.....
  4. The Story Vic returns to the warehouse after dusk and parks the Dakota on the street near the building he will use for his perch. He is now wearing a black shirt and pants as he gets the gun case out of the back of the truck. There is virtually no traffic on the street as he makes his way down the small alley between two brick buildings and stops to pull down a ladder on a fire escape. Vic makes his way up to the roof and walks along, crouching, to his chosen spot. He lies down, removes the nightscope from the case and looks through it at the surrounding buildings and the empty parking lot below. All is quiet as Vic begins to set up the Bravo-51, and then, he silently waits. The Build The interior is completed. I am thinking about making a gun case from scratch and adding it to the backseat area. I figured that the easiest way to add a dual tailpipe system was to branch off the main tailpipe after the rear axle and behind the spare tire. It's not perfect, but it's a start. More to come.....
  5. Thanks Joe and Chris! These are fun kits to build and I am thinking about picking up a couple more.
  6. Thank you Dave and Felix!
  7. Thank you Steve and Dave! I had fun building this little guy! I look at it and say to myself, "Man, that's a lot of motor!"
  8. A nice clean build! Good job! I have one of these kits that I am going to backdate into a '68 with Cragar SS mags.
  9. The Story Vic pulls into a street-side parking spot about a block from the entrance to the warehouse parking lot that McNally told him about. He takes off his work shirt and puts on his running shoes and a t-shirt and jogs down to the parking lot entrance. He runs into the parking lot and runs the perimeter of the lot observing possible perches. He sees a 3-story brick building with a flat roof at the far end of the lot that would make a great perch. He would be able to see the alleyway from the street, the north and west side buildings bordering the street, and the parking lot to the river's edge. It gets dark early and he'll be able to get to the rooftop an hour before McNally meets with Harvey at 9:00 PM. The Build I have painted most of the interior items with Tamiya Gunship Gray. I sprayed a small amount of paint into a small cup and painted the cab headliner with a brush. The wheels and tires are done. I painted the wheels with a black wash to highlight some of the details of the wheels. More to come.....
  10. My Little Red Zinger is complete and posted in Under Glass. My thanks to all who looked at and commented on my little side project.
  11. This is my MPC Little Red Zinger painted with Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red.
  12. The chassis is done! The body is painted and the windows are installed and awaiting for chassis installation. The motor is in progress. More to come.....
  13. Thank you Cory! I've always like the smooth styling of this car.

    Ferrari California

Sharp looking Ferrari, Cliff! Nice job!
  15. Vic took his role in the sniper group very seriously. He won't talk about his time as a sniper and McNally knows not to ask him about it. When Vic is ready to talk about it, he'll talk. But, don't hold your breath waiting! I finished lettering the tire tonight, but I'm not really happy with I did on them. I'll probably redo them tomorrow.
  16. Thank you Peter! This was a fun project inspite of the issues with it. I wish Revell would re-issue the Satellite version of this kit or as a Roadrunner!
  17. Thanks Juergen and Adam! This is a relatively easy project, even though I'm going to be adding some details to it .
  18. I've been wanting to do another build with my McNally, Boston PI storyline and I have found one. This kit I've had in the stash for a while and I've been wanting to build it and now I have the excuse. The focus here is on the WIP and not the story. The story is only to show what is influencing the build. The Build The kit is the Lindberg Dodge Dakota Sport. The red plastic looked so good that I decided to just polish it with Meguiars Scratch X to a nice shine! I am trying to make the raised lettering white with a Gelly Rolly pen. The Story The page was loud and specific, "Vic, call on line two!" Victor Arronski picks up the wallphone to hear McNally's voice, "Vic, I need you and Kate." Vic answers, "Where and when", and writes down the address. "I'll be there and ready." Vic heads to his office, closes the door and opens the gun safe and pulls out his Bravo-51, aka Kate and packs it along with some ammo. He gets into his red Dakota Sport and heads over to the address McNally gave him. Vic and McNally met in the Army and discovered a common ground...cars! While Vic went off to sniper school and McNally went to the Army Criminal Investigative Division, both kept in touch with each other. When Vic's tour ended, he headed home to Boston and to start his auto repair shop. McNally followed a few years later to join the Boston Police Department. They help each other often and when they disagree on something, they try not to let interfere with their friendship. More to come.....
  19. Thanks Steve. It's a definitely different project for sure! I got the body painted. The sprue on the left has been painted Testors Black enamel in prep for Alclad II Chrome paint. The engine block on the right has been painted with Mopar Performance Street Hemi Orange enamel. The wheels and tires are assembled with the fronts mounted on the chassis. The supercharger is in progress. More to come.....
  20. Thanks Ian! The decals came with the kit. Keith Marks makes a set for the '70 GTX but it does not include the 440+6 air cleaner decal. http://public.fotki.com/mofobow/plymouth/gtx/70_gtx/ You can contact Keith and ask for pricing and shipping. mofobow@hotmail.com
  21. Thanks Brian! When I built this car over 4 years ago, I had missed a lot of the details that I had included in the build this time around. And, I recently got into contact with the owner of the real Mannix Dart! A very nice guy and very helpful, too! He supplied me with some details of the car that I had not known about before. I also got a link to a show on Discovery HD Theater called Drive featuring the restored Mannix Dart. Enjoy! http://www.hittv.com/DRIVE/mannix.html
  22. Thanks Juergen and Niko!
  23. Nice GTO, Charlie! Wow, two in a week! You're cruisin' now!
  24. Thanks guys! I almost wish I didn't have to add the front and rear spoilers as this looked so good without them. I just love this color!
  25. This is little side project that I am going to do while I wait on a paint order so I can start my Spenser For Hire '65 Mustang. I am starting this with the MPC re-issue. The paint will be Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red. More to come.....
