Thanks, i was pretty happy with the way it turned out. I'm not sure what number the kit was as i no longer have the box,but it wasn't a great kit which is why I ended up building it with so many mods lol
My custom Caddy from the Revell kit. Custom flat floor, opening suicide doors, bonnet, boot custom engine bay, scratch built chassis. Chopped the roof and built a custom interior
Finally got this one finished a few months back after nearly 17 months of building. Very few parts on this were from a kit, so all the scratchbuilding kept me pretty busy. Comments good or bad welcome.
Thanks, I am always lookin for info on it so Im sure Ill find out. All I have is the old black and white brochures from the Mack museum which as helpful as they are, dont list colors.
Hey guys, its been a while since I have been onto the forum as I have been too busy. Anyways this one is coming along nicely now after the past few months. Its been quite a challenge as I have had to scratchbuild so many parts because I couldnt find the right stuf anywhere. I will be posting pics of its progress shortly. I am hoping somebody can tell me what colour the NH-600 Cummins was painted. All I can find is black and white pictures of those engines. Any help is appreciated, thanks guys. Take care.
Thanks Ryan, I have noticed all the mold lines etc, no troubles there smoothing them out, I just finished the Revell 58 Chev and had to smooth all the mold lines on that one too. Those Revell kits are really nice to work with though.
Very nice look for the old Merc, that colour is spot on. I am just about to start one of these myself. Are there any little problems with fit you have found when coming to assembling it?
Besides building model trucks and cars,my only other real hobby is drawing cars, trucks, pin up girls and portraits. Having two kids under two and another on the way kinda limits my free time.
Very nice work. Love the idea of a stock build and vinyl roof. Quite uncommon these days to see older cars in stock form. What did you use for the vinyl?
