  1. Oh, My Goodness! Sir! This has got to be the most immaculate example of precise detailing of a model that I have "ever" seen to date! I am in awe of Your skills in scratch building! Never have I witnessed such skills! I just finished the journey of this build and was I ever amazed! WOW! It is remarkable what You have done with the plastic in making the parts for this build, I am just overwhelmed by the work! Your precision and detailing on this truck build is, well, I am at a loss for words, I mean what can I say that hasn't already been said? And "YES," I agree that this "IS" a museum piece! You Sir have something there to be very proud of. My hat is off, I applaud Your work and skill! Thank You so much for having taken the time and effort to share this build with all of Us here! I must add that I am looking forward to seeing the finished piece, albeit sadly, this has been one fascinating build for sure! Later
  2. Oh Boy, o-o-o-o-h boy . . . . . Well, having just finished Yours and Bills post on this kit, uhm, I have some challenges to face upon starting this kit! For sure!! Oh Boy! It looks, to me, that the toughest area with the build is going to be the decals. I am unsure of which process to go with, decals or find a mask for the flames? I can copy the decals, (now that I have an awesome copier), the mask on the other hand, could be a bit of a problem. oh boy Hey, all of that aside, I really do appreciate that You shared your progress on this build with all of Us here. I will be looking for more of this in '26! I have seen several other posts on this kit and it seems the biggest problem is the flames! oh boy Thanks again, looking forward to the next, Later
  3. An incredible build for sure! I have this kit in the stash, and this post, Yours and Evans, will be most invaluable for the start of my own build! sounds like the decals will be the biggest obstacle to overcome! (oh boy) Some very pertinent information indeed for building this kit! I like this a lot Sir! Thank You for sharing with Us here!

  7. Gramma Jones has one "Day Tripper" of a ride there, a real "Highway Star" some serious "Space Trucking" after the groceries have been loaded, I bet Gramma was at Woodstock for the whole time. Huh, I wonder if she met Jerry?? Say, Do You think she would give Cheech and Chong a lift? One wild build Sir! Thank You for sharing with Us! Later
  8. That '53 kit has a lot of great engine parts in it, that alone makes it worth getting! I like the look of this little booger! I will be watching for more! Thank You for sharing with Us here. Later
  9. No One? Anyone? That is some article to read, it would be really nice to read the rest of the story
  10. Thank You again for the base info. I have a '53 Studebaker salt flat car that will look awesome with that as a base.
  11. I have heard of the use of solder from many builders. I guess I will have to bite the bullet and get some to try. It seems a bit pricey, but I guess if no one has remade the plastic tube with wire in it, solder is the way to go. Solder does make headers look very sharp indeed. I really like the look you have going with this build; course I am a sucker for the Willys in any form! Thank You for sharing with Us here. Looking forward to more, Later

  22. This is "GREAT" Mr. Davis! I have a kit for each of Grumpy's Toys, I have the book "Grumpy's Toy's" not much as far as detailing the car overall. But with seeing Your build here I can get a better handle at least with looking at Your builds. Thank You for taking the time and effort of sharing with Us all here! Looking forward to more.

  24. This is a most interesting build, Thank You for sharing with Us. I do hope You get to work on it more soon. I don't mean to detract from the build, but, has anyone have the rest of the Jim Keeler articles that Bob put up here? those articles kinda got my interest peaked. Thank You
