This is my second entry.. A Jimmy Flintstone 1957 Ford Wagon. Body and paint work donated by a fellow club member(Thanks George). I got two 57 Ford Fairlanes to donate the rest. Added the mandatory Pegasus #1109 Dz's and slammed the rear end. Got a roof rack but I don't believe I'll use it. My Bud had added the custom front pan and I had to modify the front bumper to fit.Working on the cargo area right now and will go from there. James aka Joker

Minor Major paint boo boo...grrr The Testors White Lightning coat bubbled on me.. I must have contaminated the driver side some how. Didn't want to loose any detail by sanding so into the tank it goes. LA degreaser James the jokes on me...hahahahaha -

The store I go to has a big RC area too..they use styrene for all kinds of projects and repairs. The rectangular styrene is in little cubby hole type shelf. Good luck

Hope Y'all seen my Brass Knuckle shifter how-to. Link...http://www.modelcars...topic=56091&hl= This one is for a kustom laminated tear drop shifter. Smaller ones can be used as turn signal knobs or radio knobs. Materials.. Thinnest white styrene and colored styrene of your choice straight pins. Tenax R-7..sanding sticks...clear acrylic paint. Hemostat to hold the pin while sanding. Brush on the tenax and make a samich..upper left of pic. Using a sanding stick ..rough up all sides..then drill a small hole for the pin handle..super glue in place. The shape is cut with wire cutters first and the final shaping is done with sanding sticks using rough to fine. Be sure to use water on the sanding sticks for smoother shapes. First is the square shape ..then the tear shape using rough sanding stick then the final shape with a finer sanding stick..last step is to dip it in clear. This is the final product..the shapes are beer tap handle..tear drop..and arrow head. side view Installed...hahahaha James aka Joker

Baloney sliced sprue trees and stretched sprue bent in a bracket shape for the handle on the bait caster. The fly reels are just sliced thinner with a small stretched sprue handle. I rolled a blade on the tree back and forth to slice them..but be sure to put some tape or the piece will fly to parts unknown..hahaha The rods are stretched slowly and steady for length and then the handle part can be sanded to shape. -
Clean build..I especially like the windshield tint.

I raided a Monogram 59 hardtop for parts.. Got the front bumper with over ride and the two piece air vent "eye brows" they have a chrome trim that is attached to the hood. Finished the Amber and White turn signal and shifter. My "driver" looks a little too over done..might have to redo the treatment. I also got the hard top steering wheel..the kit one looks too plain. waiting on the interior to gas out some more before sanding ...etc etc etc James aka Joker -

Thanks Y'all.. Good news/Bad news.. Bad news is that I dropped the interior bucket..grrrr Gotta resand and paint..np Good news..got a Boot Hill skeleton for a driver. Broke all his joints and reset them in a driver position. Had to shorten his spine some so his skull wouldn't hit the ceiling..hahaha Also removed his pistol and holster. He was molded in orange but will get the treatment later on today. James aka Joker -

UPDATE... Got the white walls and Sombrero Caddy hubcaps from a 49 Merc ...needed to add cones to the center ..so I sanded down some spot lites to fit. Also sprayed some mettalic silver over the primer and then sprayed Roadstar Florida Orange. Made a hard bed cover to replace the tuck and roll cover that was in the kit. James aka Joker -
