Hey guys, I see many great drag race, Nascar, and other race car or truck builds on here with amazing details. I have some ideas for roll bar padding but I would like to know what you guys use. I also see you guys use "zipties" What do you guys use for those to ziptie the pads? I have a few up coming projects that will need this. Thanks a lot for looking and and any advise.

How to use Future floor wax
Railfreak78 replied to plasticfrog's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I want to say thanks for the help. I know it's Jasons thread but I want it to help him too. There were no bubbles in the bottle as it was a fresh bottle however from what I'm reading I think I was to sparing on it. I did not put it on very thick and I think thats what allowed the bubbles in there. I'll try to strip it with windex and try again. Thanks for the advise and good luck Jason! -
Looking at this I think "Texas Terry Labonte" or "the Ironman' would be very proud! Nice work and a cool special paint job.

Nice build of the "high, wide and handsome" Harry Gant car. I will always be a fan and hope to do one myself. I have 2 autographs and some diecast but no plastic. Thanks for sharing a very nice piece! Great work!

For those of you who compete......
Railfreak78 replied to Karmodeler2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That was the theme at DSC. The Cactus Modelers put on the show and had thier own couple of tables and competion. You were able to vote for different things there for the club only like paint, engine, etc. The club was apart from the overall judging of the show. Cool idea! -

organizing spare/extra/special parts
Railfreak78 replied to envious8420's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
For large parts like frames, bodies and such I use the big clear and white bins in these pictures and for small ones I use the smaller greay hardware bin above them. I also use a tackle box for small parts and use a single layer divider like something from a tackle box for just engine parts. I have changed this room a lot since these pics but the concept of being neat has grown with it. -

Gregg the chat works great! I told Pat that the only thing I would change is the fact that you can not scroll up. Years ago I was on Global Communications Network which was all chat rooms. Once you get a large group going it is very easy for a slow typing person or someone with multiple convo's to loose where they are. If they can scroll up they can see what they missed. Other than that it is working very well and I love the suttle MCM logo hidden in the background. Thanks for bringing it back!

I've been in the Mephis Belle and a few other great military planes/helicopters and have a huge fasination with war birds/bombers. I would love to see this amazing piece of history. Now I wish I still lived in WA. If any of you can see it please post pictures if it's ok with Gregg -
I like this one and Great save! Color is good and those tires and wheel combo makes it have a real aggressive stance!

I hope nobody thinks I'm bragging here. I will be the 1st to say that I was really surprised I got anything. The talent here at this show is very humbling. Now I know why you guys get so fired up about the NNL shows due to the eye candy is wonderful. I'm going to try to make the Lower South NNL I grabbed a flyer for. In San Diego in August.

Nice job Billy looks great! I'm surprised people are not doing this to the real ones!

HI guys! The Desert Scale Classic was fantastic. A great time and builders from AZ,CA,NM,TX and PR. I had a few build there and this is my first time in a competition like this. my cars did get a lot of looks and MCM took a picture of my Super Bee I hope it makes the cut. I also got 2nd in MIsc. class with Sub-Urban In the Nascars the 26 is mine not the other ones Thanks everyone that showed up for a great time! It was nice to meet a lot of guys that inspire me from this very site. I'm also working on a link for my pictures from the show. I think they are good enough to share. Enjoy!
