  1. Great engineering, great execution but the stlying is questionable-it just does not flow like the original Mitchell design. In fact I thought the great eight as a whole was a little disappointing.
  2. Where did those seats come from?
  3. Tom, I owned a 61 Valiant that I inherited from a great aunt from 1969 to 1971 which was my first car. If you like, I would like to share stories of my ownership by email. The car had its quirks but no complaints as it was this city cowboy's first horse.
  4. I got my start as a young lad watching by father build plastic models and wooden ships. Some people find watching people practice there craft fascinating.
  5. I thought you were cutting back. LOL
  6. Then we to start saying Chevrolet instead of Chevy and on and on.
  7. I would hit the local flea markets and similar places. Some of your losses are hard to fence so they most likely would be resold at seond hand shops and flea markets.
  8. I agree with Mr. Geiger, I also will not try to make any sense on how I deal with this hobby- I take it day by day.
  9. Thank you for explaining on how to fit this kit correctly. I printed this page and put it my 250 box for reference for when I start mine.
  10. Ingenius. I would like a how-to since I got an extra kit to mess with.
  11. I never cared for them, it is like having a four door and a SUV corvette from the factory.
  12. I read years ago that there were over 140 US auto producers over the years.
  13. Heck, paint a Fujimi Lambo, fill it with lead, paint it HOK Candy Pagan Gold and nobody would know the difference.
  14. $80 for a mint inthe box alfa romeo from a guy I met at the local hobby shop that was liquidating his collection. I told himit was worth a lot more but he said 80 is all he wanted. I flipped it on ebay for $400 a few weeks later.
  15. Yeah, I am getting the same BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH myself. I am glad I do not surf the darkside of the net, God only knows what type of adds would be popping up.
  16. Try pinning it to the bathroom wall.
  17. I beg your pardon, I prefer to referred to as a Metro Jethro.
  18. I think one of the Pontiac OHV sixes was chrome in one of the early MPC or AMT Firebird releases.
  19. To piggy back on Gerry's comments, in some cases you also have to deal with the financiers to provide the monies needed to fund the capital costs of the tooling. The business case has to be made with more detail and a strong estimated ROI than ever to get the money needed.
  20. Soon as I read the subject line, i started to wonder how you could top the other builds-now I know.
  21. My guess is we will see the F-40 and or the 911 since they probably are most intact. The classics would be even better of a rerelease but unlikely since a lot of the parts were subcontracted to ma and pa shops and I guess Hornby would be out for the biggest bang for their buck.
