  1. WOW!!! She's a beauty David! If you'd take pics outside on a circuit, you'd be hard pressed to tell it from the 1:1...
  2. I luv me a good Beretta! I've owned a few 1:1s (got a nice rust-free '95 Z26 in the garage now). Have about six kits! Would like to build an LS V8, T56 RWD 1:1 someday I guess you're sticking with the kit powerplant in your scale version? I'll be watching!
  3. Very cool Bill! Great work so far So is your plan to bond it all back together, and then chop the roof?
  4. Tony! Glad to see you here! We recruited Tony to ORM after seeing his super-nice Scout build on the SA forum a few years ago...don't let him kid ya, he builds some great stuff (although not enough 4x4s LOL)
  5. This is the first I've caught up with this thread since I didn't get to view the race until last nite, didn't want to see who won prematurely This has been a GREAT season! I think this can be a new home for F1 in the USA. Austin has seemed to embrace the whole circus, sounds like there were lots of things going on throughout the city all week long prior to also. Not quite the exciting track I was hoping for, but pretty cool. It's just not a circuit like Spa that actually "goes somewhere" in it's natural layout. Nothing beats the classic circuits! Maybe we can have a MCM meet-n-greet at next year's event
  6. Thanks also to Steve & Ron for finishing it up! Can't wait to build one! Now, to replicate my 1:1, or like the one I have in my head (LS V8, T56, Corvette IRS... )???
  7. Nice work so far Bill! Thanks for doing this with the hardtop, this will give some the push they need to build their own '62, until Revell steps up with the hard lid BTW, if you need the dog dish caps from the Revell '62 Impala, just drop me a PM & they'll be in the mail
  8. What a great way to honor your friend and reconnect with the memories you two had! How's about a BOSS 429 or Chevy 409 for different powerplant options?
  9. Skip, couldn't you give a friend or family member (not using MAC) your username and password to your Photobucket account, let them access and pull your images, then send them to you for storage on your machine? Not sure what everyone else does, but I keep all of my Photobucket images on my own desktop or burn to disc, basically because I don't trust photo-hosting sites (especially the free versions).
  10. I thought I had seen something vaguely similar to an Airflow, thanks for refreshing my memory fellas ;)/> I do think though that a basically "stock bodied" Airflow would be desireable... I've got this thing stripped, now in the process of filling everything.
  11. I agree Lee... I plan on filling all of the trim grooves, roof insert, and gluing the doors closed. The trunk lid? Not sure yet. BTW, by looking at the time you posted this, I guess you didn't go the the race today?
  12. Time for the really good stuff... Qualifying begins NOW!!!
  13. AWESOME Ira!!! Very nicely done!
  14. Super nice Tony! Slick blue paint
  15. Very cool! Great weathering Ryan!
  16. WOW! Erik, that turned out GREAT! Slick paint, very cleanly built. Nice job fixing all of the 'gremlins'
  17. Very cool Lee! I too hope you get to go and if you do, please take some pics to share with us!
  18. Agreed! Now if we can get the kids building again, that's key! Skilled craftsman start honing their skills at a young age, improving & learning as time goes on. These kids today tinkering with their electronic devices just don't do that!
  19. It's here! Here's hoping we embrace F1 here in the states and create a new fan base http://circuitoftheamericas.com/ Some cool different things on SPEED for the weekend too: http://formula-one.speedtv.com/
  20. Very nicely done Josh! These ROG 1/24 kits can be a bit fiddly, but usually represent the 1:1 well, as yours does. And WELCOME to the forum BTW! F1 returns to the states this weekend!!!

    1951 Chevy

    Wow! Looks GREAT Bruce!
  22. And here's an IPMS show March 23rd in Allison Park also Jon: http://www.ipmsusa.org/
  23. Dave, here's a thread that shows both the diecast AND a Revell styrene snapper (keep in mind though that his Revell is HIGHLY modified/detailed), but they are pretty decent as boxed. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=66009&#entry809386 Kinda depends on which material you'd rather work with. I've got the old Jurassic Park H1 snap kit and it's pretty nice.
  24. Looks HOT Drew!!! May I ask though, why you went to such great lengths to get that slick red finish, and NOT fill the flaw on the visor prior to?
