  1. Very cool Ray! I've always liked the looks of these last C3 model years, but they were all underpowered. I'm surprised we don't see more 1:1s with modern LS transplants in them. What a neat pro touring type car these would make!
  2. Wow, how cool is that? Wait until Ira sees this...
  3. Oooh, luv them '55 Chevy 2-door sedans! Nice work so far
  4. Wow! Super nice Oldsmobiles Craig!
  5. Nope, 1/25
  6. That was my first thought too Tom...but then the new Revell Oldsmobile parts probably wouldn't work (without modification) with the resin JF body, which I'm sure is based off of the AMT '51 and Revell 53/54 Sedan Delivery. Also if you wanted to keep the fancy Olds trim, it would have to be duplicated onto the JF body. Yes Al, this is the same car I have pictured in my post...but I haven't seen anywhere that it's a documented, GM factory built Oldsmobile. There are actually a few of these out there on the interweb, but I could NOT find any old factory photos or literature from back then supporting a GM assembled car I believe all of the images found in a search are built from Chevrolets...
  7. Here's an easy 'functional parts' project to get your feet wet: http://public.fotki.com/modeljeeper/models/working_leaf_suspension/
  8. I've been hacking away at mine to create a phantom sedan delivery. Using a Revell '54 SD for the transformation. Haven't found any factory pics of one, did some searching and the argument is out there as to whether GM actually built any (even for 'official use') or not. No documented examples seem to be out there, but one of these would be fairly easy to build 1:1 using a Chevy, as in scale...

I asked the same thing over a year ago Jay, here's the responses I got: http://www.modelcars...91&hl=injection This pic is right from Hilborn's site: http://www.hilbornin...Id=32&CatId=190 Looks easy enough to scratchbuild, never did get around to trying it, or checking out the 'lil red wagon setup...

  21. Bill, we can have one-offs done by Rapid Prototype printing for only $30 as long as we have the files? I'm going hunting for some files at decent prices!!! Thanks for the link & heads-up!
  22. Brian, you could use the four-cam Olds powerplant from the Revell Shelby series 1 kit if you want to go ultra-modern
