  7. Oooh, that's nasty! Great job!
  8. I'll be there! Great show!!!
  9. I sure miss Texas Hardtails http://youtu.be/qY2y1O-upCE
  10. Never knew this problem existed with the Revell kit...guess I won't be picking one of these up, thanks for the heads-up guys! This must be one of the reasons the Danbury Mint 1/24 goes for so much...
  11. Looks pretty darned nice from here Jonathan You're being too hard on yourself!
  12. Mike, the bed can be sourced from a SpecCast 1/25 Ford F350 Dually...pretty reasonable on eBay.
  13. Diggin' this truck Chris!
  14. Here's a Danbury '37 Chevy pickup in 1/24: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DANBURY-MINT-1937-CHEVROLET-PICKUP-MIB-STUNNING-DIECAST-VEHICLE-FREE-S-H-/370639058193?pt=Diecast_Vehicles&hash=item564bcf3511 You can probably find one that is damaged or missing parts also for a resto, lots-o-money saved that way, you just have to be patient and watch 'em on eBay...
  15. Time to rework a diecast for your replica Johann!
  16. Cool Roger! Looking forward to what you've got planned Here's my phirst mockup of the 'Phord Phantom Phaeton' phor stance, wheel & tire options, etc. These rims are resin American Racing 'salt phlats' (thanks Casey ) that I widened phor the rear. There is a Phantom Vickie phrame under there, didn't take much to get it to work with this old AMT design phunny how that worked out...
  17. Thanks for the input everyone, the ideas help! This was one element I thought was OK, I think I want to keep this leading edge wheel opening shape? The shell is THIN styrene and IS a bit 'curled' in this area, once reinforced from behind it won't look quite like that in a direct frontal pic...
  18. Wow Chuck! Super convincing, awesome weathering!!!
  19. Thanks for posting that pic Skip...that's exactly the look I'm trying to AVOID!!! It looks like it could use a 'female undergarment' I think once the triangular-ish grille area is reshaped, it will be more cohesive with the 'flow' of the body...
  20. Cool, I'm in then! Great start on the builds guys, diggin' that green on your roadster Ron!
  21. Really groovy Dude Here's another one maybe AMT will reissue???
  22. Gents, was this an AMT kit in it's original iteration??? If so, I'm in!!! I could use a nice, relaxing, quicky build!
  23. I agree on the '40 headlights, they look best, but I still don't like 'em A body this special deserves taking the time to get the look right. I am in the process of back filling the forward part of the body shell with resin...then I'll reshape it. The funky shaped nose/grille area is holding back the design I think. I really don't like the hidden headlights on a car like the Cord and I'm trying to stay away from that look. I like exposed headlights on a car like this...
  24. Paint color looks good (from what I can see) Andre, practice on those pics so we can really see what's going on with this cool build!
